A kid after my own heart.
I miss the days when I would get so excited opening up a present under the tree, even if it were something simple. Although we make jokes about this next generation of kids being screwed because they are addicted to screens, don't understand the enjoyment of a slow afternoon, and many other things, one little boy is restoring faith in humanity from a reaction to opening one of his Christmas presents.
A Christmas morning video has gained over 11 million views in less than a day after a little boy freaked out (in the best way) opening a bottle of Ranch. Yes, Hidden Valley Ranch- well, the off-brand. But this reaction is BIG TIME for all the ranch lovers out there.
The young boy is sitting on the couch, ready to open up his Christmas presents, when he is handed an oddly wrapped gift. If he were just a few years older, he might be able to use some deductive reasoning to see that it was a condiment bottle, but he's still at the age where he's just excited to be tearing off wrapping paper and isn't thinking about what might be inside.
After ripping the wrapped gift, he quickly sees a massive bottle of Ranch dressing inside. Once he can read the salad dressing's label, he lets out a giant scream to tell his family what it is.
"RANCHHHHHHH."
I respect his excitement so much. Although I might not be as big of a ranch lover as he is, I definitely understand his excitement over a condiment. I love having dipping options, and it looks like this kid does, too. However, he might also be one of those kids who slathers all his food in Ranch dressing.
After screaming with excitement, he pulls the giant bottle close to his chest for a tight hug and does not plan to let go.
I need more of this energy in 2025. I hope all the Ranch lovers out there had a Christmas like this kid.
