![LIV Golf Fan Favorite Anthony Kim Won’t Shy Away From Politics After Pro-Trump Post: “Decided To Not Give A Sh*t If You Don’t Like It”]()
![Anthony Kim]()
Well I guess we know which way LIV golfers swing on the political spectrum (pun intended).
Professional golfer Anthony Kim has one of the most unique stories in all of sports. He was viewed as a rising star on the PGA Tour in the late 2000s, winning three tournaments in a period of three years. That might not seem all that impressive, but I'm also sure you've heard the phrase "golf is hard."
Any win on the PGA Tour is a big deal.
Anthony Kim was sponsored by Nike, and was even a part of the 2008 Ryder Cup team. However, he fell out of the spotlight just as quickly as he burst into it. The professional golfer became plagued with injuries, and for a decade, he seemingly vanished off the face of the Earth.
While out of the public eye, Kim was battling his injuries, addiction, and mental health complications. Golf became an afterthought, that is until becoming a father changed his perspective on life. He's been quoted as saying having a daughter gave him a "sense of purpose," and that newfound purpose eventually led him back to the game of golf.
Anthony Kim returned to professional golf by signing with the LIV Tour, became sort of a fan favorite, and as he explains in his own social media bio, he's grateful for the opportunity to play the game once again. Oh, and he's also grateful for free speech:
"Blessed to have a second chance at life not going to waste it. Won’t get sensitive about what you say so don’t when I do."
That's a pretty interesting message - and he
really means that.
His social media has become a source for both swing tips and political commentary. Just this morning, Kim posted clips of himself practicing his putting stroke. Did his caption explain his philosophy on tackling the flat stick? Nope. Instead, he simply shared a message that he is excitedly ready for the Trump presidency and celebrated that Daniel Penny - the Marine Corps veteran who subdued a violent man on the NYC Subway. The violent man passed away during the struggle, and this week, the charges were finally dropped and Penny was not charged with manslaughter:
"Golf is more fun knowing Trump won the election and Daniel Penny is free. Make today great again."

Safe to say that Anthony Kim is on Team MAGA. He even adopted the format of the acronym to say "Make Today Great Again" in his post.
To be clear, this is on par (pun intended) for Anthony Kim ever since he came back into public eye when he joined the LIV Tour. If you follow him on social media, your timeline will be graced with an equal amount of swing thoughts about "staying on plane" and pro-Trump messaging.
If you are into golf and Donald Trump, Anthony Kim is a
must follow.
He's got this post from September pinned to the top of his X profile if you needed any more evidence or convincing:
"I guess people don’t like my opinions on Donald Trump and Kamala Harris After some deep thought, I have decided to not give a sh*t if you don’t like it. We live in the United States of America where there is freedom of speech, right? By the way, I practiced great today."
