![Audience Erupts With Laughter As Jill Biden Appears To Mock Vice President Kamala Harris With “Joy” Statement]()
![Jill Biden]()
Is the First Lady really kicking a former presidential candidate while she's down?
There's been a lot of discourse online questioning if President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, were in full support of Kamala Harris' presidential nomination. As you probably already know (you'd have to live under a rock to not be up to date), Biden originally intended to run for re-election. However, he dropped out of the presidential race after a questionable debate performance, and the Democratic party appointed his Vice President, Kamala Harris, as their presidential nominee.
To make a long story short, that late-in-the-game substitution didn't work out for the Democrats. After a landslide victory, former President Donald J. Trump is now set to take back the White House in January, and Harris won't trading out her vice president title for president. And some online have been quick to point out that the Bidens haven't seemed all that upset about that.
When president-elect Donald Trump visited the White House shortly after he won the election,
social media couldn't help but notice that he and Joe Biden were all smiles as they sat in the Oval Office together. Many have paired that happy meeting with other strange moments shared between the Kamala and the Bidens since she lost the 2024 Presidential Election and come to their own conclusion that the Bidens may (or may not) have been discretely rooting for Donald Trump.
Sounds crazy right? I definitely don't want to put on my tin foil cap and confirm it, but this latest statement from Jill Biden could be added to the pile of potential evidence. While addressing the media at the White House, the First Lady seemingly chose and emphasized a certain word that was critical to the branding of the Kamala Harris campaign: Joy. Obviously, Harris doesn't own the copyright to the word or anything, but as you can see in this post from back in August, it was repeated a lot while she was running:

So when Jill Biden used it, there's a chance it could have been an accident, or a coincidence, but many didn't see it as such:
"I hope that you all feel that sense of, you know, peace and light and just for a moment when you leave here today that you feel... I don't know, a little sense of joy. Cause I think we all need to feel joy during this time of the season. Just during this time."
As she concluded her remarks, laughter broke out among those who were there. They appeared to realize what Jill Biden was doing, or accidentally implied, by using the word joy. The First Lady did her best to dismiss those laughs, but even her dismissal wasn't all that convincing:
"You're all reading into that."

At the very least, it probably would have been wise for Jill Biden to avoid using the word "joy," just so there wasn't ever any potential controversy. Then again, the word joy is pretty popular around this time of the year (spread the joy, joy to the world, etc.), so it might have just been a coincidence that Jill Biden used the word in her time with the media.
I don't know... did Jill vote for Trump?
