Women Are Going Crazy For Alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassin Luigi Mangione & It’s Gross

Luigi Mangione

Really, is this what we're doing? Back in 2013, Rolling Stone rightly got a ton of backlash for a magazine cover featuring Boston marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev that made the terrorist look like some kind of cover model or sex symbol. And now it looks like the internet is doing the same thing to the UnitedHealthcare CEO assassin. For the past week, NYPD have been on a frantic manhunt for the man who gunned down the health insurance executive, Brian Thompson, on the sidewalk in front of his hotel in New York City. The suspect reportedly fled the scene on a bike into Central Park, where he ditched a backpack containing a jacket and Monopoly money before disappearing. Authorities released photos of the suspect that gave us a clear look at his face, which were reportedly taken when he removed his mask while flirting with an employee at the hostel he was staying at in the city. And police revealed that they believed he left the city on an interstate bus, meaning he could have been anywhere in the country. And today, they finally got the break they needed. Earlier this morning, police in Altoona, Pennsylvania announced that they were interviewing a "person of interest" in the case, after a man was spotted at a local McDonald's who resembled the photos released of the alleged assassin. While searching the man, who has since been identified as 26-year old Luigi Mangione, police found a 3D-printed "ghost gun" matching the one used in the shooting, as well as a fake ID matching the one used by the alleged shooter to check into his hostel. Mangione is currently being held without bail in Pennsylvania on charges related to the fake ID and the weapon, with charges expected to be coming soon for the shooting of Thompson. He'll then likely be extradited back to NYC to face charges in the murder, in addition to those he's facing in Pennsylvania. After the (alleged) shooter's identity was leaked, the internet quickly began digging into his background. As it turns out, Mangione is an Ivy League alumni, having graduated the University of Pennsylvania with both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in engineering, majoring in computer science. But it wasn't just his background and his (again, alleged) crimes that got the internet's attention. Apparently there were quite a few women who couldn't help but find Mangione attractive - despite the fact that he's, you know, an accused murderer. https://twitter.com/lias__/status/1866265833359499385 https://twitter.com/olivia_dagley/status/1866293957631643916 https://twitter.com/lexiip23/status/1866284899591733420 https://twitter.com/WhatSantanaSays/status/1866285656185704931 https://twitter.com/dxnielanc/status/1866285238877372604 https://twitter.com/DeadCaitBounce/status/1866194305725178317 https://twitter.com/Staceballs/status/1866213920190746856 https://twitter.com/victoriaafm_/status/1866194478811267563 https://twitter.com/beatbyanalisa/status/1866203803097395314 https://twitter.com/honeyNonABG/status/1866193643276804378 https://twitter.com/malakabdo96/status/1866203147779166580 Of course it should go without saying, but we probably shouldn't be making murderers into sex symbols. This guy (allegedly) took a man's life, a man who has a wife and kids who now have to see people talking about how hot they think his murderer is. The whole thing's pretty gross, not to mention all of the comments from people who support him because of their problems with the health insurance industry. But then again, after Rolling Stone glorified a literal terrorist on their magazine cover, I guess it shouldn't really be a surprise that horny women (and men...) online are going crazy over a suspected murderer.
