![Yellowstone Makes Hilarious Production Gaffe In Latest Episode “Counting Coup”]()
![Kayce Dutton Yellowstone]()
Always getting sloppy in the finale season, eh?
Remember how bad
Game Of Thrones got in its final season? In Season 8 Episode 4, there was a scene where Daenerys is sitting at a table near Jon Snow, and plain as day, there is a Starbucks coffee cup sitting right in front of her. You can CGI a dragon into the show but can't remove a cup? How you don't catch that, I have no idea. And then again, during the series FINALE, they leave a water bottle on the ground under Samwell Tarly's chair... just egregious. The final season just felt so rushed... and we're not even talking about the plot...
Of course,
Yellowstone is in the middle of its own final season, and let's just say, we're all feeling a bit rushed as well. I won't get into any spoilers but the story almost feels rushed and yet full of filler at the same time... we're speeding towards the end of the Dutton ranch as we know it, but also taking some time for random deaths that don't seem to have anything to do with advancing the story.
Anyways, in the last episode, which was actually pretty good... we see Kayce once again prove why he's the baddest mf'er in the business. He served a decade in the United States Navy SEAL Teams, and other than that random ghillie suit moment, Taylor Sheridan likes to remind us, but never really proves it. Sure, Kayce engages in more gun fights than any civilian could imagine (with a fair amount of spray and pray) but he just doesn't
seem like a Navy SEAL... until now.
And like I said, I won't get into any spoilers but it was a great scene. A great scene that was potentially ruined by some lazy production work. This is quite the embarrassing faux pas, and it's just bad on so many levels.
Take a look... it won't take long for you to figure it out:

All that budget and we couldn't get two different license plates? And it sure looks like they're in Montana during this scene, not Texas. Obviously, good chunks of the show are filmed in Texas where Taylor Sheridan can use his own property, his own horses, and the 6666's Ranch, which is now a
part owner of, but come on... that's just bad.
To be fair, the hitman supposedly lived in Houston, looks like Kingwood in particular based on the little girl's soccer jersey... and that would make sense. I mean, what are the odds of a highly professional and detailed hitman being local? Probably not good.
But here's the kicker... in the background of the soccer game, there were mountains? You know... like in Montana? You be the judge but that sure doesn't look like Houston to me:

I haven't been to Houston in a minute but the last time I was there, I didn't see mountains. But who knows... locations aside, the license plate is a pretty big blunder from Taylor Sheridan and company. And even if they need to use the same plate on set for whatever purposes, that shouldn't be too hard to clean up after the fact, right?
Awkward....
We only have to 2 episodes left... keep your eyes peeled for more production gaffes.
