![Three Arrested For Climbing To The Top Of Nashville’s “Batman Building” To Get A Better View Of The City]()

Can't just hit up a rooftop bar like everybody else?
If you've been to Nashville, you're no doubt familiar with the iconic AT&T Building. Completed in 1994, the 33-story tower sits right in the heart of downtown Music City, the centerpiece of the Nashville skyline, and is frequently referred to by tourists and locals alike as the "Batman building" due to its twin spires giving it a resemblance to the caped superhero.
The Batman building is the tallest building in not only Nashville, but in the state of Tennessee. So if you want a view of the city, I guess that's the place to get it.
But unfortunately for three out of state men, it's not exactly open for public viewing.
Over the weekend, photos began circulating of what appeared to be men standing on the top of the Batman building. Many online speculated that they were employees, either changing the lights on top of the spires or doing some kind of maintenance.
But as it turns out, they were just some idiots who wanted to get a better view of downtown Nashville.
The Metro Nashville Police Department received a call about the men on Sunday from some concerned onlookers on Broadway, and using binoculars were able to spot one man next to the spire and another laying down on top of the AT&T logo.
By the time police helicopters arrived they were no longer able to find the men, and police entered the building and began searching for the daredevil trespassers.
Eventually, they were found hiding in a locked bathroom stall on the 24th floor of the building, and officers ordered them out at gunpoint before taking them into custody.
The three men, 26-year old Jacob Thomas Cieszynski of Chicago, 26-year old Chase Cooper Lester of Culloden, Georgia and 20-year-old Ryan James McGarrity of Laguna Woods, California were arrested and charged with aggravated trespassing and disorderly conduct. Officers also found burglary tools including a crowbar and screwdriver on one of the men, as well as several cameras.
Hope they got some good pictures while they were up there.
The men said they were able to get into the building through an unlocked door and make their way to the roof after deciding they wanted to climb up to get a better view of the city, telling officers they heard the Batman building was the best place to see the city.
I mean, I guess that's true, but is it really worth risking your life to get a birds eye view of Jason Aldean's bar and some drunk tourists 33 stories below? There are helicopter tours that will take you up there, and it would be a lot safer (and a lot less illegal, though that didn't seem to matter to these guys). Just how many drinks did these people have at Kid Rock's before coming up with this plan?
It shouldn't have to be said, but if you want to get a good view of Nashville, just stick to the rooftop bars.
