“A Santa Daddy!?”– Ladies Are Going Crazy Over New Target Commercial With A “Hot” Santa

I think this is called "knowing your audience." If you're a Target girlie like me, you probably don't really need any excuse to run over there and just "see what they have" on any given Saturday, especially this time of year... Target has been on a roll with some great stuff lately, right in time for the holidays. And their most recent ad has caught the attention of ladies, causing a bit of a commotion on social media with what they're calling a "hot Santa." Titled "Born to Be Kris," Target's newest commercial features an actor named Brent Bailey (who also appears in Hallmark movies if his face looks familiar... yes I had to look that up), who is dressed as a sort of Santa-inspired Target employee named Kris K., a play on Kris Kringle, AKA Santa. He rolls up to the store to work in a sweet Bronco, and with a full salt and pepper beard, he walks into what is the most beautiful Target I've ever seen. Obviously, Target has a huge female demographic, especially soccer moms and ladies from all age groups, who hit the store really hard this time of year, so doing something like this is brilliant. Personally, I don't need any more convincing to go to Target no matter what month it is, but this is pretty dang smart. I've seen all kinds of TikTok videos about it the new ad, but this one sums it up best: "Once again, Target is on target with their target audience." Good marketing is good marketing, and they sleighed this (get it? Sorry, I had to...):

Of course, the comments section went wild, and ladies were going crazy for this new Santa: "Target Santa. Merry Christmas to all of us!" "A Santa daddy?!? Well played Target!" "Oh dang Target!!! We see you!!!" "The line for a picture with Santa is going to wrap around target." "*Leaves the Target items and takes Santa instead*" "Target executives are listening to their marketing girlies and it shows." "Target always knows what I need." "See. Target listens." "Target finally realized their demographic - he can be under my tree anytime of the year." "I might have daddy issues but Santa’s always been sexy to me lol." "I need to sit on his lap and tell him what I want ASAP." "Hot Santa. Here for it." "The way my jaw dropped when I watched this commercial while sitting next to my husband." "Zaddy Clause." "He better be on site periodt." "I think I need to go to Target…" "I definitely on the naughty list now." I feel like Target's stock went up just from this 30-second commercial, which might be the best one for any huge retailer all season.
