Josh Brolin Says He Has Nicotine Pouches In 24 Hours A Day: “I’m Asleep With A Pouch In My Lip”

It might be safe to say that Josh Brolin has a problem. Though I say that, I know some guys probably saw that headline above and said, "Hell yeah" as they clicked on the link. I'm talking directly to you Zyn Nation. Go ahead and share this with your fellow Zyn-ers with messages like "goals" and "Josh Brolin is HIM." Brolin, who has starred in such classic films as No Country For Old Men and basically any Marvel movie you could think of, recently sat down with Marc Maron on his WTF with Marc Maron Podcast. It was during the recording that addiction came up, and the 56-year-old actor openly spoke on his battles with nicotine. It apparently became so bad that Brolin was using nicotine pouches unknowingly while he slept. That created an issue with his young daughter sometimes finding the used pouches on his bedside table: "My wife would hear this in the middle of the night (*mimics smacking noise*). I don't even know I'm doing it. I'm asleep. I have a pouch in my lip, and I'm not f**king lying - 24 hours a day. Then I started taking them out and putting them on the bedside table. If (my daughter) puts it in her mouth, she's gonna get sick. And instead of stopping, I try and teach them, ‘Don’t do that.'" See? There's always an opportunity for a learning lesson. And if I understand that quote correctly, Josh Brolin finds himself so badly in the throes of his nicotine addiction that he's sleep-zyning? He's putting nicotine pouches in while he's asleep? That might be one of the wildest things I've ever heard. Brolin might need to be studied. The accomplished actor went on to tell another story about how he was running low on his nicotine supply while he was shooting a film in the Middle East. Before we get to this next quote, I'll share that a regular nicotine pouch tends to have between 6 milligrams and 12.5 milligrams of nicotine. As Brolin ran out of his own supply, he was apparently offered some pouches that were much, much stronger: "We're in Jordan, and a guy comes up to me, and he says, ‘I have some.' And it has a skull and crossbones on the top… and it's 40 milligram packets. And I said, ‘I can't do that.' And then, one day, I start running out, and I haven't quite run out. I probably have four or five more tins left. And I have his thing in my pocket, and I had gone to the gym. And I'm running back from the gym. I stick the thing in my mouth for no more, and I swear to God on my kids, for no more than 20 seconds, and I had to cancel dinner that night. I literally was sh*tting my brains out. It was f**king crazy." Good rule of thumb to live by: Never, under any circumstance, consume something that comes out of a package with a skull and crossbones on it. That guideline has never led me astray, and I'm sure Brolin has now adapted that rule through experience.
