Calling for Nick Bosa to be cancelled.
Obviously politics in football are nothing new. But we're seeing it more and more as we get closer to the 2024 presidential election, with players getting creative to express their political opinions.
Just this past weekend, we saw Texas Tech kicker Reese Burkhardt raise his jersey to reveal a homemade "Trump 24 MAGA" shirt after scoring a touchdown on a fake field goal.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich recently used a press conference to express his displeasure with former President Donald Trump.

And last night during Sunday Night Football, San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Nick Bosa expressed his support for the GOP presidential nominee, crashing an interview with his teammates George Kittle, Brock Purdy and Isaac Guerendo to show off his "Make America Great Again" hat.

Bosa didn't really have much to say about his political statement during the postgame press conference, saying only that he "thinks it's an important time." But the internet, of course, had plenty to say about it.
Many on Twitter compared it to former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem, a move that drew outrage and that Kaepernick believes has left him blackballed from the NFL all these years later.

Of course Bosa has been outspoken about politics before, deleting tweets supporting Donald Trump and calling Colin Kaepernick a "clown" back in 2019 before the NFL draft because he said "there is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."
The good news is that the election is just 8 days away, so maybe we'll get a break from politics during football games after that.
