Covering all the bases.
We're less than two weeks out from the 2024 presidential election, so you've no doubt seen the countless signs, TV commercials, billboards and internet ads urging you to vote for one candidate or another.
I think it's safe to say everybody's pretty sick of seeing them at this point, and it's not like anybody's TRULY undecided at this point anyway, so it'll be nice when the election's over and they're all taken down.
But one business owner in Texas was especially bothered when Democrats bought a billboard above his shop - so he decided to buy one of his own.
The Kendall County Democrat Party bought a billboard directly outside of CGC Cerakote, a business owned by Clint Voight that does ceramic coating of firearms and auto parts, among other products.
The billboard simply said "Vote Democratic." But Voight didn't necessarily agree with the message, so when he noticed that the billboard directly below it was available, he decided to buy it to display his own message:
"Just Kidding, Vote Republican"
But then, the Democrats decided to change up their billboard to one featuring photos from January 6, asking, "Had enough?"
The billboards have since gone viral, though both Voight and Kendall County Democrat Party chair Laura Bray said they got a good laugh out of the back and forth.
During an interview with News Nation, the business owner says he's heard from folks all across the country:
“We did it just to have fun back. We’ve received a bunch of donations from across the country, too. It’s actually been a very positive thing. I’m glad that we can all get along, though, and show that both sides can get along.”
Luckily, in just a couple weeks all of the signs and billboards for both sides will finally go away - at least until the next election cycle.
