“Dalton Would Rather Crash His Car Than Play Another Game For The Panthers” – Carolina Panthers Fans React To News That Bryce Young Is Starting Again This Sunday

Bryce Young sports

You just can't make this stuff up. Yesterday, starting Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton was involved in a car accident in the Charlotte area while driving with his family, and while everyone was thankfully okay and it was relatively minor, he did come away with a sprained right thumb (at least that's what they're saying). And if you're in an NFL fan in the slightest, and have followed any of the news with the Panthers this year, then you know what an absolute sh*t show, dumpster fire it's been, from the top with owner David Tepper, all the way to the players failing to win more than one game so far this season. Of course, the big story after Week 2 was that second-year QB Bryce Young would be benched because of poor performance (by those standards almost the entire team should've been benched by now), in favor of veteran Andy Dalton. Well, Dalton came out hot in his first start, managing to get a win against the Raiders, but it's been the same old, same old ever since then, and the Panthers are currently sitting at a 1-6 record, and obviously last place in the NFC South. And now, we're back to Bryce as the starter this week, as Panthers head coach Dave Canales announced this afternoon that Bryce would once again be taking over since Dalton injured his thumb. Bryce was initially pulled before to also help restore his confidence, so if he managed to build any of it back over the course of the last several weeks, let's hope he can hold on to that sliver for dear life because bless his heart, he's surely gonna need it this Sunday. Honestly, I like Bryce, he seems like a nice guy and was obviously a great quarterback while it Alabama, but to say he's struggled since moving up to the NFL would be a massive understatement. At the same time, because of poor management, switching coaches multiple times, and many other factors which I could go on and on about, he was essentially thrown to the wolves and didn't exactly have the support help he needed in terms of teammates and coaches. I can actually tell you exactly where all of the real problems with the organization stem from and where they ultimately fall, which is on pathetic owner David Tepper and his beyond horrific decision making ability when it comes to professional football... I mean, the guy makes Jerry Jones look like a walk in the park. This season already feels practically over for the Panthers, and we're not even half way through it yet... so while this news (sadly) has my intrigued (it's like being in a really toxic relationship when you're a Panthers fan), I fear they're setting Bryce up for failure again here, but at the same time, what is the alternative? Dalton sucks too, so what the hell, I guess... like I've mentioned in previous articles, I learned a long time ago to stop asking how it could get any worse when it comes to the Carolina Panthers. And as you can imagine, other Panthers fans had a LOT to say about the ordeal (they usually do, and rightfully so, though sometimes it is WILD), and let it fly on Twitter (X) after news broke about Bryce starting again. Say a prayer for Bryce, and all of this weekend... we're really gonna need them as the team heads to Denver to take on the Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High:
