![“If A Chick’s Got Great Feet, I’m Lookin'” – Rex Ryan Still Has Zero Shame About His Foot Fetish Heard ‘Round The World]()
![Rex Ryan]()
Once upon a time, Rex Ryan took New York by storm and led the Jets to two straight AFC Championship Game appearances. In the midst of that epic run for a franchise that had only been to that game twice in their history before Sexy Rexy took the reins, a leaked video of Ryan filming his wife and narrating how much he loved her feet went viral.
The super-candid and outspoken Ryan opted for a measured,
professional high road sort of response when the general public became aware of his feet affinity.
"To be honest, and I get it, I know you need to ask and all that stuff... but it's a personal matter and I'm really not going to discuss it, OK?"
When everything fell apart with the Jets, Ryan went to the division rival Buffalo Bills and enjoyed less success there. But at least he seemed a little more comfortable living in his truth, allowing a picture to be snapped of him in his office, with an alleged picture of his wife's feet in full view, prominently placed on his desk.
Now that Ryan's out of coaching and loving his TV gig at ESPN, he couldn't care less about what anyone thinks of his obvious foot fetish. He is going 10 toes down as the kids say these days. On Ryan Clark's
The Pivot podcast, the ex-Steelers safety broached the topic, and Captain Rex (my own nickname for him for variety's sake, deal with it) came from the top rope to weigh in:
"I love my wife’s feet. I don’t know what it is, but if a chick’s got jacked up feet, I’m out. I don't care how gorgeous. I'm out. I don't know what the hell it is, but it's like some people are boob guys, leg guys, you know whatever.
Of course I notice a pretty gorgeous face, but don't s**t yourself, I'm checking the feet out."

The best bit is how when Ryan's whole foot fetish situation started making the rounds and he had to pretend like it wasn't some of the weirdest, avoidable controversy for an NFL head coach to ever mire himself in, certain Jets players bought into his leadership even more.
[...] When that s**t came out, front page New York, my wife's gonna freaking kill me right? [...] I'm like damn. I can't tell you how many of my players came up and said, 'Dude, I like feet too!' And I'm like hell yeah you do, you're a freaking man! You know what I mean? Damn right! [...] Now I have fun with it, and it's like, yeah that's me. That's who I am, I own that s**t, and if a chick's got great feet, I'm lookin.'"
Rex is great on TV and podcasts and all, but come on. We need this man back in the NFL. Whether it's as a defensive coordinator out of the gates or just straight back to a head coaching spot, Sexy Rexy is one of the best personalities in all of sports. With
how bad the Jets continue to be, I'd be sad if Rex doesn't even get a look for their head coaching vacancy here soon.
You're telling me that Rex Ryan wouldn't still be the Bills head coach if he had the chance to ride out Josh Allen's early developmental years? He had to trot out some quarterback combination of Tyrod Taylor, EJ Manuel and Matt Cassel during his two seasons in Buffalo. Managing a 15-16 record with those QBs, in Buffalo, in the midst of the Belichick-Brady Patriots dynasty, is quite the
feat. Haha sorry. Couldn't help myself.
Speaking of feats, Ryan led the Jets to a win away from the Super Bowl with Mark Sanchez under center in his first two years as a pro. Not Rex's fault that the front office in New York was a disaster toward the end of his tenure under GM John Idzik, who quite literally went 0-for-12 on draft picks in 2014. Look it up.
I'm sure Rex is loving being on the other side of things for now, but coaching runs in his family's blood. The NFL needs to give him a crack to get back in. The Cowboys at least interviewed him this offseason for their vacant defensive coordinator position. Looks like Mike Zimmer might've been the wrong choice, just saying!
