![A Moment Of Silence For The Hundreds Of Cases Of Beer We Lost In A Maryland Highway Tractor-Trailer Accident]()
![Beer truck spills]()
This morning Maryland's I-70 is looking like the
Texas Longhorn football field after a bad call...
Around 3:30 this morning, a tractor-trailer flipped in Frederick County. It was traveling eastbound on I-70 and toppled over just before Exit 62. There's no word yet on what caused the crash and the driver was taken to the hospital; His condition remains unknown.
Accidents are never good, especially when an 18-wheeler is involved but we should be thankful that this was a one vehicle wreak, probably caused when some cargo shifted in the back. That cargo is now scattered all over the highway and median, and while anything it was carrying is a huge loss, this one hits just a bit harder.
The truck was full of beer, which caused quite a mess when the roof and walls were shredded, booze spilling out onto the asphalt and leaving behind a sticky mess of aluminum cans and shattered glass bottles.
Take a look for yourself:

Pour one out for the fallen homies...
The cleanup is expected to be intensive and all lanes were blocked for awhile but it appears cars are now able to pass single-file going east while westward has been narrowed from three to two.
Sending prayers that the driver will be okay and the highway can be fully reopened soon, commutes in this area are already long enough, but man, why did it have to be beer in the back? Hopefully it wasn't the
first shipment of Busch Apple...
