Kamala has The Boss, Trump has The King.
As we get closer to the 2024 election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, more and more celebrities have come out with their endorsements to encourage their fans to vote.
Earlier this week, Bruce Springsteen released a video endorsing Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, while calling Trump "the most dangerous candidate" of his lifetime.
But while The Boss is voting for Harris, The King isn't shy about expressing his support for Trump.
While answering questions from fans, NASCAR legend Richard Petty was asked whether he was supporting the Republican candidate for president in the upcoming election. And the 87-year old retired race car driver made his opinion clear:
"Let me tell you, I don't know any of y'alls politics, so don't get mad at me saying this, ok? You're either an American or a Democrat."
Guess that clears things up on where he stands.
Of course it's not really a surprise that Petty would endorse the GOP candidate. He has previously served as a county commissioner in his home state of North Carolina, running as a Republican. And after retiring from NASCAR, the 7-time Cup Series champion formed a political action committee to support Republican candidates for office.
Back in 2016, Petty introduced Trump at a rally in his home state of North Carolina, and earlier this year when Trump attended the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the King spent some time hanging out with the former president.
