![Viral Oklahoma Bigfoot Sighting Has The Internet Divided: “Bro, That’s The Jack Links Costume”]()
![Big foot]()
Accurate or not, this is the clearest Bigfoot sighting we've ever gotten. Finally, a non-blurred pixelated image where you don't have to squint and tilt your head 90 degrees!
However, this joyous celebration might be short-lived, as this Bigfoot sighting seems a sham. For years, social media users have uploaded their Bigfoot "sightings" to various platforms as the public still tries to decipher whether the mythical woodland creature exists or is simply folklore.
As the story of Bigfoot has risen in popularity over the decades, the hairy creature has also been turned into a costume, making the verification process of these Bigfoot sightings even harder. Leading us to the most recent viral spotting.
In Lawton, Oklahoma, about three hours from Oklahoma City, a social media user uploaded a video of Bigfoot in the Parallel Forest.
Only In Oklahoma describes the wooded area built by the government after the Dust Bowl as a "haunted" ground and is the backstop for "creepy stories of hauntings, urban legends, satanic rituals, and everything else that can scare the living daylights out of you."
So it's fitting that Bigfoot would be nestled between these red cedar trees, right? The social media account E_ManAlfaro uploaded a video of just that.
With 1.8 million views, he captured a hairy, potentially Bigfoot-looking beast sitting at the base of a tree sniffing some grass. The creature looks right at the man behind the camera before he takes off.
"Scariest moment of my life, and I really think I caught a f***ing Bigfoot on camera in Parallel Forest. I woke up just doing some sightseeing and enjoying the day and saw something in the distance. I'm still shaking as I type this."
While the video does capture some creature, social media users were quick to sniff out that it's probably a Halloween costume manufactured by Jack Links—yes, the jerky brand Jack Links. If you Google 'Jack Links Costume Horror Dome,'" a similar-looking costume, that
retails for $179.99, pops up.

Similar looking, right? While it's not been fully confirmed nor denied if it's a costume (and I doubt we will ever know), this sighting at least keeps the hope alive that Bigfoot is more than a fictional character.
One day we will have proof Bigfoot exists... one day.
Folks in the comments section are very divided on the matter, with many saying they feel like this is the real deal, Bigfoot. Check out some of my favorites.
"It can’t be him. The REAL Bigfoot is blurry. Haven’t y'all seen the pictures?"
"You know what? Why not? This world is insane right now, so why can't Bigfoot be chilling under a random tree."
(This one wins the award for best comment.)
"Please, I thought that was an Orangutan in the wild."
"Bro, that's the Jack Links costume,
"I watched this over and over again. That looks very real to me."
"Y'all, this one is real. Pause and zoom in."
"HONESTLY at this level of Jumanji, unprecedented, biblical, crazy times... I would probably believe it. They finally told us aliens were real..."
"It’s nice to see real footage of a real Bigfoot. I completely believe this is real. Thank you for sharing this."
"Waiting for someone to debunk this cause, I’m convinced."
"Chance to make history, and you run!"
"Hanging with Jack Links...I assume a Busch beer opening is next ...lol."
"That's the real deal."
"I believe this 100% real, I've watched thousands of videos and pics of these things and the main difference with this one is the facial features move, in a costume you can't move the features..."
"I knew Bigfoot was real, and nobody could tell me it's not."
Bigfoot is commonly thought to be in the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest, but believe it or not, Oklahoma is actually where a lot of Bigfoot action is going on. One Okie lawmaker even proposed a bill (yes, this is a real government bill) to open up an annual hunting season for Bigfoot, with a $3 million dollar bounty on his head (well, you have to capture him alive).
J.J. Humphrey introduced a bill that would have created a designated Bigfoot hunting season in his state, but unfortunately, it got killed pretty quickly.
