![The Rock]()
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson giving some support to the former president.
The movie star isn't going as far as endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency, but he did have some nice things to say about the 45th POTUS while he was on stage at the Vault Conference last week in Florida.
Johnson was asked by Patrick Bet-David about the assassination attempt of Trump back in July, and he first prefaced his answer by saying that he and the former president go way back to his wrestling days:
"He used to come watch me wrestle all the time at Madison Square Garden. It was great. First time I saw him, he said 'let me see the eyebrows.'"
That sounds like Trump.
But getting into the meat of the conversation, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson condemned the assassination attempt, and went on to say that the way Trump responded in that moment was commendable:
"Whether you love Donald, don’t love Donald, it doesn’t matter. They tried to assassinate him. There’s no room for that. Despite it being who we were in that moment, I still believe in my core that is not who we are as a country.
So him standing up at that moment, we wanted to see that."

Hard to disagree with the "The Rock" on that one. And if there's anyone who knows about showmanship, it would be the former WWE wrestler and current blockbuster movie star.
Like I said earlier, Johnson didn't explicitly endorse Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States. Though the above excerpt does show that "The Rock" appreciates Trump and how he responded with power instead of fear when he was almost shot to death at his own political rally.
Earlier this year, Johnson sat down for an interview with
The Will Cain Show, and it was in that conversation that he said he'll likely never endorse someone for president again after he endorsed Joe Biden for the presidency back in 2020:
"The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was what I thought was the best decision for me at that time. Am I going to do that again this year? That answer's no. I'm not going to do that. Because what I realized that what that caused back then was something that tears me up in my guts back then and now, which is division. And that got me.
The takeaway after that months and months and months, I started to realize like, ‘Oh man, that caused an incredible amount of, division in our country.’ So I realize now going into this election, I'm not going to do that. I wouldn't do that because my goal is to bring our country together. I believe in that, in my DNA. So in the spirit of that, there's going to be no endorsement."
