Making the most out of what Mother Nature throws your way.
The Southeast has been hit with some horrible storms over the last week. After days of severe storms with tornado warnings keeping citizens up for all hours of the night, the storms have finally passed through Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky, and unfortunately, are headed toward the coast, with the Carolinas and parts of Florida expecting the same massive line of storms.
However, just because the storms have passed through some states does not mean the damages from the heavy rainfall are gone. Parts of Arkansas are left picking up debris after a tornado touched down in Northeast Arkansas, and other cities are left with flood waters damaging their favorite spots, like Nashville’s beloved Santa’s Pub.
While much work needs to be done in areas where the flash flooding occurred to drain water, repair damages, and more, sometimes you have to make the most out of a sh*tty situation, and have a little fun with what Mother Nature has given you.
In Arkansas, some folks decided to have a good time with the standing water on the side of a highway and used it as their personal lake. A group of men is going viral for hauling their jet skis out to the large mass of standing water and pulling out their wakeboards to brush up before lake season is truly here.
The men have gone mega viral, with many vehicles on the interstate filming the moment. The folks wakeboarding look like they are living their best lives, weaving around interstate signs and just cruising.
Talk about taking lemons and making lemonade.
Quickly, social media users began to notice the multiple points of view captured of the moment and loved the content. Jokes began to fly about how Arkansas citizens told Mother Nature to “hold my beer and watch this.”
