![Angel Reese]()
Seems like more people could learn a little something from WNBA star Angel Reese.
The Chicago Sky forward was asked about the upcoming presidential election before a game recently, and she gave a stellar answer. A reporter threw out this question when Reese had some media availability:
"Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is a woman and she's doing her thing. With her running for president, have you got a chance to watch her? What are your thoughts on her running for political office?"
Real quick... just a 30-second timeout here. What does, "She is a woman and she's doing her thing" even mean?
Anyways, Angel Reese could have used her platform to support either of the presidential candidates, but instead, she gave a very respectable and honest answer. The basketball star didn't, "No comment" the reporter, though her answer left things very neutral, while also encouraging people to go out there and exercise their civic duty:
"I haven't been able to tap into the political election and everything going on. I'm not educated (well enough) now, but I just continue to learn and get feedback. But everybody get out there and vote. I commend that and I tell a lot of people to go out there and vote. Because we need it for this election."
Wow... how about that for an answer?
Say what you want about Angel Reese, but she absolutely nailed that response. So often we see celebrities and athletes encouraging people to think one way or the other, and the Sky star simply said, "Go out there and vote." And some might poke fun at her for saying she isn't educated on the matter, but that's really how someone should answer if they don't know about politics (try telling your uncle that at the Thanksgiving table).
