Theo Von Donald Trump

I didn't know I needed this in my life. This election cycle has already been insane. From the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, to the Democrats kicking Biden to the curb after winning the primary and installing Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee instead, nothing really surprises me at this point. But I wasn't expecting to see Trump sitting down with Theo Von. Of course the comedian has one of the most popular podcasts in the country with This Past Weekend. And the two have met before thanks to mutual friend, UFC CEO Dana White. So it makes sense that the GOP nominee might appear on the podcast at some point. And it was pure gold. If you're familiar with Theo, you know that...well, his brain doesn't work like normal brains. The things that come out of his mouth never fail to surprise me. He's hilarious, but he's also incredibly insightful at times and presents a realistic view of the world that a lot of major celebrities don't see. Theo is also open about his past struggles with drug addiction and his recovery. And of course, the topic of drug use came up during his conversation with Trump, who famously has never drank alcohol or smoked. It seems that while he has no experience with drugs or alcohol, Trump is still curious to learn about addiction. And Theo was just the person to explain it. While speaking about the opioid epidemic, the former president asked Theo how he got addicted - and I don't think Trump was ready for his answer: https://twitter.com/BehizyTweets/status/1826038188986782196 Trump then asked about the difference between the effects of cocaine and alcohol: "Is cocaine a stronger up? So you're way up with cocaine, more than anything else you can think of?" And Theo explained it as only Theo can: "Cocaine will turn you into a damn owl, homie. You know what I'm saying? You'll be out on your own porch. You'll be your own street lamp." So much to unpack there, but can we just talk about Theo calling Trump "homie?" (Throughout most of the interview he called him "Donald" like he was chatting with an old friend and not a former president/one of the most famous people on the planet). Now, I'm not sure how much better Trump really understands cocaine after that conversation. But man am I glad it happened. Never change, Theo. Never change. https://twitter.com/RyanAFournier/status/1826052665152799170
