The college football season is officially HEATING UP.
We're still a little over two weeks until college football kicks off, yet we somehow already have a fiery matchup between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Though the two teams aren't facing off on the gridiron, they are battling it out online.
And it all stems from this
practice footage that Colorado posted yesterday. The way it was spliced led some college football fans to think that the Buffaloes were trying to
buffalo all of us into thinking this was a completed pass:

That just looks too bad to be true, but Colorado eventually came out and released a couple of full length videos at different angles to debunk the claims that they took two different videos and put them together to make it look like a completed pass.
But that didn't stop Arkansas from coming in with a world-class troll job. Despite the Buffaloes putting out the proof that the pass wasn't edited, the Razorbacks decided to put out a "Darts Only" themed meme poking fun at the caption Colorado initially used.
One of the most important things in meme-ing is timeliness. If you can be incredibly quick with a meme, that's sometimes better than a joke that's more though out. It might not make a lot of sense, but that's how it works. You've got to be fast in the meme-ing world.
And the Arkansas Razorbacks social team certainly was. Once the video from Colorado's practice went viral, Arkansas put together some obviously spliced footage and put it out on socials:

Absolutely brilliant. I have no notes... and I smell a rivalry brewing.
Arkansas wasn't the only one that got in on the joke. There were a number of "Darts Only" videos making fun of Colorado that made their way onto social media :
