![Adam Thielen Tim Walz]()
Well we finally know who's going to be on the ticket in November.
Of course we've known for a few weeks now that Vice President Kamala Harris would be up against former President Donald Trump, after President Joe Biden announced that he wouldn't seek re-election. And after Trump announced his pick of Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate, all eyes were on Harris to see who she would pick for her VP nominee.
There was speculation that it would be Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who would provide a boost to Harris in a state that's seen as critical to win the presidency. But apparently his own political aspirations (and the fact that he's Jewish) turned off some Democrats, and Kamala ultimately decided to go in a different direction.
This morning, it was announced that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was Harris' pick for her running mate, and I've gotta be honest, it seems like Republicans are more happy about the choice than Democrats.
I don't know a lot about Walz, but the GOP has already started highlighting his handling of the 2020 riots in Minneapolis and his support for illegal immigration, including signing a bill giving illegal immigrants free college tuition and allowing them to get drivers licenses.
And among those to criticize the choice of Walz was Caitlin Thielen, the wife of Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen.
Obviously Thielen spent 10 seasons in Minnesota, tying an NFL record for the most games with 100+ receiving yards during his time with the Minnesota Vikings before being released as a salary cap move after the 2022 season and signing with the Panthers.
Well apparently Caitlin is no fan of the way Walz has performed during his time as governor of Minnesota, a position he's held since 2019. And the wife of the star WR took to Twitter to give her thoughts on his selection as VP:

It's not the first time Caitlin Thielen has used her platform to speak out on political issues, as she regularly retweets and posts in support of measures to protect women's sports and keep transgender women (i.e. biological men) from competing against women.
Safe to say her former governor probably isn't going to be getting her vote this November.
