Who knew that the title of "Cheese Ambassador" was actually achievable?
Italian gymnast Giorgia Villa, who is competing at this year's Olympics, has the subtle flex in her back pocket of being sponsored by cheese. Specifically, she's the brand ambassador for the Parmigiano Reggiano, and she's incredibly proud of it.
As she shared with a post at the beginning of this year:
"New year, new challenges but the same habits: for me Parmigiano Reggiano remains the fixed point for a season full of emotions!"

Both the partnership and the photos behind it are remarkable.
If you were to look on Parmigiano Reggiano's website, they are incredibly proud to call the Italian gymnast a partner. They put out this statement when they officially announced that Giorgia Villa would be one of their athletic brand ambassadors:
"The very young athlete, spearhead of the national rhythmic gymnastics team, has in fact become the brand's new ambassador , with all the enthusiasm and freshness of her splendid age.
Tenacious, determined, smiling, Giorgia proudly underlined this new role as well as once again confirming how the combination of Parmigiano Reggiano and the world of sport is indissoluble in terms of authenticity, quality and energetic value, both in sporting activity and in correct nutrition."
That's pretty poetic coming from a cheese company.
And guess what? Villa pulled through on her end of the deal and won a silver medal in Team All-Around at the 2024 Paris Olympic games. That's really when her story - and these incredible pictures - started circulating online:
