Those of us who even passively follow the galactic power couple that is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce knows the former has referred to the latter as a "golden retriever" type of personality. Kelce lived up to that label during Friday's action at the American Century Championship. And no, I don't mean that he literally licked one of the patrons. That'd be weird.
But hey, close enough. Licking is the golden retriever's version of kissing — this is getting so f*****g weird already, sorry — and Kelce felt compelled to comfort a fan who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got struck with a stray golf shot.
Kelce is teeing it up in the American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf tournament where cool things happen, like
Aaron Rodgers talking up a reunion with Davante Adams. In this instance, it looked like the man who got whacked with Kelce's ball was OK. Nevertheless, the Kansas City Chiefs all-time great tight end gave him a kiss to make it better.

Vampire's Kiss is used to drive that point home. If you've never watched it, drop everything you're doing whenever you can and immediately do so. Quite possibly the greatest laugh-out-loud comedy ever made. Problematic on purpose. Absurd on purpose. Baffling, confusing, and hilarious on purpose. It's a masterpiece. Pardon my continued cinema speak as I figuratively whip pan back to Travis Kelce. Like Nic Cage, he's brought joy to a lot of people over the years. Now the Swifties have him. I'm sure a gesture like this will only endear him more to Taylor's monolithic fan base. Trav is on a roll between this incident and
the karaoke contest victory he claimed and dedicated to his lovely lady.
As for the golf itself in Lake Tahoe, the Kelce Bros. are playing together, and it would appear they're having a great time on the course.
