According to the Chiefs, Tyler Hynes, Hunter King and Ed Begley Jr. will star in the film, which will premiere on the Hallmark Channel during the 15th annual Countdown to Christmas run sometime in December. Chiefs president Mark Donovan says they're excited to work with Hallmark on such a unique project: "We are honored to partner with Hallmark on a project as unique as this. As a club, we pride ourselves on exploring new ways to grow our brand, as well as connect with new audiences. This partnership unites two passionate fanbases and gives us an opportunity to show Chiefs Kingdom's energy and tradition on one of the most-watched channels during the holiday season." They're slated to start production in July, and will film in and around Kansas City, including at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Here's a little of the plot line from TODAY: "The movie is about a woman named Alana, played by King, who hails from a family of Chiefs fans and strikes up a relationship with Derrick (Hynes), the director of fan engagement for the team. The two end up spending a lot of time together once Alana's family enters the Chiefs' 'Fan of the Year' contest. As sparks fly between them, things begin to go awry once Alana's grandfather's (Begley Jr.) loses his vintage Chiefs good-luck winter hat. Her grandfather's missing prized possession makes Alana doubt everything she believed about fate until a little Christmas magic is thrown her way." Unreal... I have no doubt the Swifties will make this Hallmark's highest-rated movie to date, though an exact release date is still forthcoming. https://twitter.com/hallmarkchannel/status/1805653086720897362We are teaming up with Hallmark this holiday season for a new, original movie filmed right here in Kansas City!@hallmark x @hallmarkchannel
