Celtics fan fight

Guess they don't call it "Titletown" for nothing. Many Boston Celtics fans gathered at TD Garden Friday night to witness their beloved squad get blown off the court in Dallas, as the Mavericks embarrassed them in a 122-84 romp that'll send the NBA Finals back to Boston. But given that zero teams in history have rallied from a 3-0 Finals deficit to win, the Mavs might've done C's fans a favor by avoiding the sweep. Now, Monday's Game 5 could be the conclusion of the series, where the Celtics can celebrate with their impassioned supporters. Just don't tell that to the inebriated ingrates who, for whatever reason, got into such a heated argument following Boston's first loss since May 9 that they decided to throw hands in the stands. https://twitter.com/PrimeLBJ/status/1801809708002472295 https://twitter.com/jacob_overlan/status/1801834588215382438 Yup. You saw that right. One little loss and these people lose their f*****g minds. Y'all, this wasn't a blown 3-0 lead. You didn't lose Game 7. It was one loss. Your first in over a month! And you can't handle it? Perhaps no group of fans in the United States or all of sports are sorer winners than the folks of Boston, save maybe for Philly. Except I get more of Philly's anger and vitriol, since they're perpetually frustrated by lack of winning across most of their major sports. The Celtics are tied with the Lakers with 17 championships apiece, the most of all-time. Understanding that they haven't raised a banner since 2008, they're still well on their way. Have some perspective, gentlemen! I couldn't have summed up this fight much better than the following tweet: https://twitter.com/ElHijoDelSimon/status/1801961553563914495 Yes, this incarnation of the Celtics are Charmin-soft paper tigers at bizarre, inopportune times. Their head coach Joe Mazzulla comes off as one of the biggest tools in the world on a regular basis. Even Boston knows in their heart of hearts as a city that they've had a relative cakewalk through the playoffs. None of that matters. They're still, in all likelihood, going to win this year's championship. So yeah, I don't know what else to say about this scuffle, except that the morons involved should chill out. Because the Celtics are 6.5-point favorites at home on Monday night. That's probably where these lopsided NBA Finals end. For pure competition's sake, I hope not. And the last time Kyrie Irving was down 3-1 in the NBA Finals, he and LeBron famously helped the Cavs rally to stun the Warriors. The way Luka Doncic framed it prior to Game 4, I don't know. Maybe I would be sweating it out and inflicting my misplaced rage upon a fellow fan if I were a Boston diehard... https://twitter.com/ClutchPoints/status/1801344394349470133 https://twitter.com/Mavs_FFL/status/1801789180181192897
