![Aaron Rodgers]()
Aaron Rodgers is a no-show for the Jets mandatory minicamp.
During a press conference with head coach Robert Saleh noted that two Jets teammates were absent from the minicamp currently taking place as the New York Jets gear up for their 2024/2025 season, one of which being Aaron Rodgers.
While Saleh noted that Rodgers was communicating about not being at the minicamp due to an event of high importance to him, his lack of attendance is still considered unexcused.
“Aaron and I spoke before OTAs started. He’s been very good in communication, he’s been here the entire time. It’s unexcused, but he had an event that was very important to him, which he communicated to me.”
Wedding? Ayahuasca ceremony? Darkness retreat? Flying to Mars with RFK? What are you doin' Aaron?
While Rodgers is not there today, he was at the facilities on Monday to partake in his physical and photo day duties. He's also been present for every day of voluntary workouts.
Saleh also noted in the press conference that defensive end Haason Reddick, recently acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles, was the second player with an unexcused absence from the minicamp. Both Reddick and Rodgers are subject to fines from the CBA.
Saleh also noted that he was not concerned about Rodgers or Reddick sitting out this camp as they both have their heads in the game when it comes to games—later saying the following comments about Reddick.
“I appreciated the dialogue. He’s in a really good place mentally, working his tail off like we already know, but he’s choosing to sit out, so it’s unexcused. I’m not concerned about Haason Reddick. I understand everything that’s happening, but at the same time, I know that when it comes time to play football, he’s gonna be ready to play football.”
Rumors are swirling that Reddick hopes to get a new contract from the trade. Still, Saleh noted that all comments surrounding that conversation can be directed to Jets general manager Joe Douglas.

With NFL Training Camp a little over a month away, I am sure Rodgers fans are eager to see how he looks going into next season. Football fans can tune into NFL Network and NFL+ for complete coverage. The coverage will start on July 29th and will continue through August 9th.
While some will be tuning into the Olympics during that time, others will be dialed in on their favorite NFL players.
Needless to say, the internet is dying to know...
