Well that's awkward...
Vince Young had a legendary career as a quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. With a 30-2 record as a starter and the 2005 BCS National Championship on his resume, Young then spent 6 seasons in the NFL, mainly with the Tennessee Titans. He retired in 2014, and naturally after stepping away from football, he took up golf.
Young is now a Special Assistant for Athletics Administration at his alma mater, but he still likes to hit the golf course in his free time. And this week, he played in the BMW Charity-Pro Am, where NBC Sports reporter Lauren Withrow tracked down the Texas legend to get his thoughts on the tournament.
Well, at least that's what she thought.
Withrow started off the interview by rattling off Young's accomplishments, before the man set the record straight: He was not, in fact, Vince Young.
The man she was interviewing was actually Everette Sands, an assistant football coach for the Citadel. But he handled it like a pro:
"Now, I apologize, you have the wrong person. I'm Everette Sands over at the Citadel. Which, I'm a football coach. But the great thing about golf is I'm not only competing against myself, but I'm competing against myself."

And respect to Withrow for doing her best to just roll with it and keep the interview going, but man, talk about awkward.
After the interview, Lauren poked fun at herself on her Instagram story:

And Sands also addressed his now-viral interview, saying that he waited to talk to Vince to tell him what had happened:

Gotta think that reporter's going to be thinking about that one for a while.
