![Charley Hull]()
The legend of Charley Hull, who the
internet has deemed the "Female John Daly," continues.
The eighth ranked women's golfer in the world captured the hearts of thousands, if not millions, the other day when she stopped to sign autographs ahead of the Women's U.S. Open. What was so special about her autograph session? Well, to be frank, she was ripping cigs the entire time she was jotting down her name for fans:

Professional golfers on the women’s tour are currently gearing up for the 2024 U.S. Open, which is being held at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania. The world’s best women golfers will flock to Lancaster, PA to compete for the coveted Harton S. Semple trophy. If the tournament was based on who had the best “vibes” rather than the best score, the championship would be over before it even started.
But play was marched on, and though it is unclear how many cigarettes Charley Hull has smoked since her first tee shot, her score should be good enough to make the cut. The English golfer sits at seven-over-par after two rounds, which was one stroke better than the tournament's cutline of eight-over-par. So she'll continue to play, and rip heaters, into the weekend.
She was back in tee good graces of social media earlier today because she opted to light up some cigarettes mid round:

Iconic.
One fan even tried to strike up a deal with Hull, telling her that he'd pay her $2,000 if she autographed her pack of cigarettes and handed them over. She apparently didn't take him up on the offer (because obviously she has to have some darts to rip while she's out on the course):

Charley has a big climb ahead of her if she wants to contend for the U.S. Open. She's currently tied for 46th place, and sits over 10 strokes back from the leader. But I think it's safe to say that if she doesn't take home a trophy this weekend, she still "won" in a way.
A lot of people discovered their favorite female golfer this week...
