This right here should be the textbook definition of that saying. A Michigan man with a suspended driver's license joined a Zoom court hearing... while he was driving. District Judge Cedric Simpson was floored, and probably thought he was on a hidden camera TV show, as the whole thing unfolded.
In the hilarious video, the Zoom call is joined by Corey Harris, who is very clearly driving around town without a license. The honorable Judge Simpson can hardly believe his eyes, and asks the defendant:
"Mr. Harris, are you driving?"
Harris, who clearly shouldn't have been driving and probably should have waited to call in, didn't even try to sugarcoat anything. He just replied with a very casual:
"Actually, I'm pulling into my doctor's office."
Almost immediately, the public defender representing Harris asked for the judge to adjourn the hearing for "up to four weeks," if the court would allow it. The district judge heard the request, but he was still too busy trying to understand the idiotic act that just played out right in front of him and the court:
"Okay, so maybe I don’t understand something. This is a driving while license suspended (case) and he was just driving, and he didn’t have a license."
The public defender said that was correct, and had nothing else to say. So with Harris still on the call (zooming in from the driver's seat he wasn't supposed to be in), Judge Simpson revoked the defendant's bond and ordered him to turn himself into the county jail by 6 P.M. that night. At the conclusion of the call, Simpson was still puzzled, and stated:
"I don't even know why he would do that."

Probably one of the dumbest things that has ever been caught on video? At least in the self-inflicted category? Zooming into your revoked driver's license hearing is just a First-Team, All-American stupid thing to do. Social media made sure to remind the guy of that with their replies:
