Well, that’s one theory I guess.
Kid Rock is obviously never afraid to speak his mind. The outspoken rocker, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, has been an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump and often ruffles feathers with his political opinions – not that he really cares.
He recently had harsh words for Bruce Springsteen after comments that The Boss made about President Trump during a show in England, telling the rocker that he should just stay in Europe:
“Bruce Springsteen’s another one of these liberals who has mountains of money that so desperately wants to keep his good standing in the eyes of Hollywood and the elite, but plays like this working class guy. His politics are so a**-backwards. Just stay in Europe, Bruce. Have fun.”
And during that same interview with Fox News, Kid Rock also gave his thoughts on the plummeting birth rate in the United States.
The birth rate reached a record low in America back in 2023, rising only slightly in 2024 to 1.6 children per woman, which is lower than the birth rate of 2.1 needed to naturally maintain the population. The trend comes as women are waiting longer to start having children and contraception is making it easier for young women to avoid unplanned pregnancies.
But Kid Rock has another theory to explain the declining birth rate:
“We have this low birth rate in America and it all made sense to me. It just hit me right now, because who’s going to sleep with these ugly-a**, broke, crazy, deranged, TDS liberal women? I mean, you look at these rallies, it’s like a bunch of women that no guy wants to sleep with and a bunch of dudes that want to sleep with each other.”
Of course it seems like the comments were (mostly) in jest, but like with anything Kid Rock says or does, there were plenty of people who weren’t happy about his theory – including Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella Parton:

But apparently the feeling is mutual for those on the other side of the aisle. Outspoken liberal Maren Morris, who recently finalized her divorce with ex-husband Ryan Hurd, opened up on the dating scene during an interview with The Cut where she slammed what she calls the “new mutant strain of fake liberal men,” who she claims “pose as progressive dudes on dating apps.”
Men voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Trump won in the male demographic by 12 points, and even won the young male vote, which has typically skewed more liberal. He won males age 45-64 by a whopping 20%. And among males 65 and older, a demographic that Democrats hoped to win by warning senior citizens that Trump was a threat to Social Security, he still had a 13-point advantage in the final election results.
So it shouldn’t really be a surprise that most of the men that Maren’s running into on dating apps aren’t as woke as she wants them to be. Then again I’m not sure that there are many dudes who are woke enough for Maren.
It’s also interesting that these conservative dudes are, supposedly, posing as liberal on dating apps. Gotta think Kid Rock would have something to say about those guys too…
