Pat McAfee Offered Big Mike McCarthy A Hit Right Before Going Live At The Draft Last Night

Big Mike McCarthy ain’t about that life…

Last night I watched the Pat McAfee Show’s draft coverage instead of the traditional broadcast on ESPN/NFL Network because let’s be honest, we only really care about the first five picks and whoever your team drafts so it’s nice to have a bit of levity. I’d rather listen to the ridiculous comedic-informative sports doofuses talk about whatever pops up in their head rather than listen to Mel Kiper Jr. rant about Shedeur Sanders to no end.

The crowd last night in Green Bay was truly electric. Sing alongs, pounding beers, and a few hits of some… substance… had the people absolutely rocking.

Take a listen to everyone singing along to “Country Roads” … Fires me up.

It was pretty clear that Pat and the boys had and were participating in some substance ingestion themselves, with red cups being chugged live on camera, but someone in the crowd captured a hilarious moment right before the show went live.

Pat was joined on stage by Mad Mel Kiper (AKA Ty Schmit), Boston Connor, Packers legend AJ Hawk, 9 year NFL veteran Darius J. Butler, and Big Mike McCarthy, who was fired as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys earlier this year.

While everyone was settling in, someone in the crowd tosses Pat a Penjamin Franklin, since he’s been known to indulge in some “vitamins” quite regularly, and he took a nice big hit. As great of a moment as that, it got so much better when he tried to pass it over to Coach McCarthy…

It would have been absolutely incredible to see a narrow-eyed Mike McCarthy trying to keep up while the boys talked circles around him.

Have to love the vibes from night one in Green Bay. I’m glad so many people showed up and got to see how cool of a city it is. I’ve only been up there twice but, thanks to a friend who works for the Packers, got to behind the scenes at Lambeau and truly get the full experience. It’s a gem of a place that in no way deserves all the “There’s nothing to do here” jabs. Sure, it’s not Miami but it’s a beautiful area with it’s own culture and plenty of outdoors activities, great food, and cheap beer to go around. Plus, you have perhaps the most storied franchise in NFL history still anchoring the entire place, how could it be cooler than that?

Big shout aht to Pat and the boys for living it up. Maybe when Big Mike calls it quits for real he’ll give the John F. Pennedy a rip.
