Hope she doesn’t have to pass a background check.
Lily Stewart, a University of Georgia sorority girl, went viral recently when she was arrested outside of Athens earlier this month for speeding…as she was trying to get to a party at 11 AM. Totally on brand here.

According to TMZ, Lily was reportedly doing about 79 in a 55 MPH zone, and she was given a speeding ticket and let go. Then, she was spotted by the SAME officer just minutes later doing 84 in 55, and earned herself a one-way ride to the Morgan County Jail, where she was subsequently booked for speeding in excess of maximum limits, which is a misdemeanor in the Peach State.
Luckily for Stewart, the charges were dropped and she’ll only have to take a defensive driving class and perform community service.
But unfortunately, now that she’s had a taste of the outlaw life, apparently she just can’t stop doing crime.
The sorority girl was arrested AGAIN over the weekend, this time on charges of obstructing and loitering, which are still pretty minor. But according to the police report, Stewart and three friends were spotted in the student center at 3 AM, after the building was closed, and when police approached them the little criminal once again showed off her speed and ran from the officers.
Unfortunately Stewart was quickly captured after she was found hiding behind a brick wall near the football stadium, and when asked why she ran, the hardened criminal admitted that she was concerned about her previous charges:
“I didn’t want to get caught doing anything bad because I am out on bond right now.”
But she also took responsibility for her actions:
“Was it the trespassing? Truly that was actually my fault.”
Just incredible, everything about this story.

Well Stewart has been enjoying her viral fame (or at least she was after her first mugshot went viral, no word on how she feels about the second one), and told People that being arrested can have its benefits:
“If you do get caught speeding, maybe get arrested for it. Maybe you’ll go viral and get some Instagram followers.”
And she admits that all of the jokes about her are…well, for the most, pretty accurate:
“I look like a basic white girl, and I am. I think it’s hilarious.”
But even better is what she hopes to do with her viral fame:
“One day, I’m going to go on The Bachelor, so maybe expect me then. … If it’s a good-looking guy, obviously.”
Hey, reach for the stars.
This girl is just amazing. She’s clearly the stereotypical southern sorority girl, and she’s leaning into her viral fame with big ambitions for how she’s going to use it to her advantage.
It doesn’t sound like she learned much from her first arrest, or has many regrets about speeding to try to make it to her party on time. But we’ll have to see whether she learned her lesson the second time around – or whether her crime spree is going to continue and Lily Stewart is going to continue her reign of terror on Athens before taking her talents to reality television.
