A University of Georgia sorority girl named Lily Stewart, an Alpha Chi, was arrested outside of Athens earlier this month for speeding, and if you’re wondering how fast you have to be going in order to get arrested for speeding, the answer is…. pretty damn fast.
According to TMZ, Lily was reportedly doing about 79 in a 55 MPH zone, and she was given a speeding ticket and let go. Then, she was later spotted by the SAME officer just minutes later doing 84 in 55, and earned herself a one-way ride to the Morgan County Jail in the a Georgia State Police car, and was subsequently booked for speeding in excess of maximum limits, which is a misdemeanor in the Peach State.
TMZ reports that the charges have since been dropped, but not before Lily also earned herself 15 minutes of viral fame after her mugshot went viral for obvious reasons. I mean, she may have a lead foot, but she has a million dollar smile. Despite the charges being dropped, she’ll still have to perform community service and take a “defensive driving class.”
It didn’t take long for her mugshot to gain some attention on the popular Mugshawtys Instagram account, where the comments, once again, did not disappoint:
