Vice President JD Vance Gets The Viral Meme Treatment From Both Sides Of The Aisle

It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Here we are, JD Vance’s face is becoming the internet’s favorite meme and it’s not only hard to get off my twitter feed, but even harder to get the image out of my head. Our vice president is getting turned into an inflated character, and I can’t help but feel bad for the guy.

If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s hard to explain you’ve gotta just see it with your own eyes:

The main photo of him going around has over 32 million views and 371,000 likes, but it’s getting reused with different captions and made into different forms and characters of Vance.

Not only because of these memes, Vance has been dominating social media this past week due to his heated conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a tense Oval Office meeting. Vance questioned his efforts, strongly backed President Trump, and warned Zelenskyy that if he didn’t agree to a deal, U.S. support could disappear.

The internet had a lot to say about this exchange. But now, I can’t see much past Vance’s face when I scroll…

This all started in October when a Republican congressman shared a post on X of the “Yassified” JD Vance where he had a glow up. His plump lips, airbrushed skin, and snatched eyebrows made the rounds everywhere:

@msnbc GOP Rep. Mike Collins posted on X a digitally altered image of Sen. JD Vance. The image looks like “they ran it through a literal ‘yassified’ filter,” MSNBC Daily Columnist Hayes Brown says on @AymanMSNBC. #politics #news #jdvance ♬ original sound – MSNBC

It was Georgia Congressman Mike Collins—who, judging by his X account, seems to be a big meme guy—who kicked things off with a simple caption: “Gm.” Seems like a classic Trump move to me.

But the side by side of the Yassified photoshopped JD to normal JD Vance unfortunately does make his face seem bigger. And the internet took that and ran.

Although his face is getting dragged by a million people, there is one bright side, being that both sides of politics are getting in on the joke. We all know that anything remotely political (or not) can cause an internet divide, but this meme has turned into a bipartisan masterpiece, which people are pointing out themselves:

While many are worried about the lowkey cyberbullying going on, wondering how this is affecting Vance’s self image, knowing that he is no stranger to internet trends himself:

But the vice president has not said a single thing about it. No acknowledgement or public reaction at all. Which, in his defense, how do you even go about this without being offended? I really am curious if he thinks it’s funny or is humiliated by the size of his face millions of people are reposting.

This week might be remembered by the discussion with Zelenskyy in history books, but the internet will always remember it for JD Vance’s face memes.

“If he looked like this him telling Zelenskyy off would be even more hilarious”

“Perhaps the real J. D. Vance was the friends we made along the way.”

“I think Vance would laugh at it, too.”

“I’m eagerly awaiting his “Guys, please stop sending this to me” post”

“Uniting the people, one meme at a time.”
