Kevin Costner wants everyone to know that he's no crier.
Now, there's nothing wrong with crying, but the legendary actor must have some sort of prideful thing where he doesn't want anyone else to see tears stream down his face. If Costner didn't cry, he got awfully close when his film Horizon: An American Saga was met with an 11-minute standing ovation at its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
You can watch the video below and make your own judgement as to whether or not the tear ducts started flowing for the Yellowstone actor (or I guess former Yellowstone actor):

Hmm... I guess that's technically not crying?
Regardless, it was a very emotional moment for Kevin Costner, who has pretty much self-financed this passion project ($38 million to be exact) of his. This initial "chapter" of Horizon is the first of four that he plans on putting out in the next couple of years, if not sooner.
So for Costner to bet on himself, then have a crowd full of film festival goers meet Horizon with a lengthy standing ovation, the producer, director and actor must be feeling good about himself. He actually stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to talk about how he's processed the initial response.
Kimmel asked Costner how he was feeling during that standing ovation, and the star of Horizon couldn't help but reflect on all the moments that got him to that point:
"I actually started walking my life backwards for a second. I kind of went back to the beginning and wondered how I even ended up at a place like that. We all have these dreams of where we want to be and I've had my own and I've taken some really big bites out of life. And life has taken some pretty big ones out of me."
I'm sure that was an incredible moment for the longtime Hollywood star.
Costner went on to talk about the overwhelming applause that the film received as the credits began to roll, and he wanted to make sure that everyone knew that he didn't shed a tear while he was taking in the moment:
"When they started to clap and didn't stop, I didn't really know what... now I didn't f****** cry. My eyes were just full. They were full. I checked twice. There was nothing here, nothing there. But I was moved by what happened in France. I was moved by the biggest film festival in the world."
Do you get that? Costner wasn't crying... his eyes were just full.
