Mic Catches Tiger Woods Saying “Thanks, Love You Too” To Donald Trump, & Shocker… People Got MAD

Today was a big day for the game of golf. President Trump has taken an interest in bringing together the PGA Tour and the LIV Tour, and he held a meeting today with officials from the PGA Tour – including Tiger Woods and PGA commissioner Jay Monohan – about the future of the game of golf. Saudi Arabia’s PIF governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan was also rumored to be in attendance at the White House.

Early reports are suggesting that a “deal in principle” between the PGA and the PIF (Public Investment Fund) could be achieved by the end of today:

That’s great news for the game of golf.

There’s also a rumor that LIV golfers could be seen playing in PGA Tour events (right now they are only allowed to play in Majors like The Masters and the U.S. Open) as soon as the 2025 Players Championship, which is set to take place in the second week of March. All signs are pointing towards the meeting with President Donald Trump going very well and being very efficient.

But the moment that really stole the show was when President Donald Trump addressed a Black History Month Reception that was happening at the White House, and since Tiger Woods was already there, he invited him to tag along. It made for quite the moment, as you can see in this photo shared by the White House:

The one confusing thing is that President Donald Trump started talking to the group of people attending the Black History Month reception about the game of golf. Why? I’m not sure, but the fact that Tiger was also standing nearby washed away all of the worry… because that’s 82-time PGA Tour winner Tiger Woods standing right there (wearing his Presidential Medal of Freedom).

Everybody loves the “Big Cat.”

Trump addressed the crowd, saying:

“This is some crowd. These are the best people Tiger. And we have Adam Scott here also… winner of the Masters, one of the greatest golfers in the world. I’ve always tried to swing just like Adam, it never worked out that way. I just want to thank Adam and Tiger and the commissioner of the golf. Jay thanks so much for being here. Jay Monohan, head of the PGA. We had some interesting discussions. But let me ask you, is there anybody like our Tiger? He’s the greatest.”

The President then asked Woods if he’d like to say a few words. Initially, the legendary golfer shook his head and said no, but that was before Trump got a “Tiger!” chant going. At that point, Woods had to give the people what they wanted, so he walked up to the podium and said a few words:

“It’s an honor to be here. It’s honor to be here with you Mr. President, and it’s an honor to be here with all of you. Thank you so much.”

Once Tiger wrapped up, President Trump said something to him off the mic, which Woods could be heard responding to with “Thank you, love you too.”

Like I said earlier, everyone loves Tiger Woods, and the 15-time major championship winner evidently loves Donald Trump right back. As you might imagine, the interaction – albeit the rare state of golf press conference at a Black History reception – got a lot of attention online.
