Yesterday, the Philadelphia Eagles absolutely crushed the Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl LIX, with a final score of 40-22. Patrick Mahomes played horribly, and his star tight end Travis Kelce was held to four receptions for 39 yards during the whole game, obviously marking the fewest yards in any of his five Super Bowl appearances. That Eagles 4-man rush absolutely dominated and the Chiefs just looked lost from the start.
Notably, his very famous girlfriend Taylor Swift was in attendance, though she didn’t exactly get a warm welcome from the crowd, getting booed and looked super annoyed when the showed her on the jumbotron inside the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana:

Rumors of Kelce retiring were already swirling before this game, and have only continued after the Chiefs brutal loss… he was clearly upset after the game, and left looking defeated and also wearing the same shimmery outfit he walked into the stadium in:

And one Eagles player in particular was not afraid to call Kelce out, and that would be their resident trash talker… Mr. C.J. Gardner-Johnson:
The Eagles safety, who also goes by Ceedy Duce, shared a shady story on Instagram referencing one of Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriends, Kayla Nicole, who started dating Kelce in 2017. They broke up in 2022, and Kelce started dating Taylor in 2023.
Kayla has made comments about her relationship here and there, and she also posted Instagram stories on the field after the game celebrating the Eagles win, which is actually hilarious. I don’t know if she was an Eagles fan before dating Kelce or not, but it’s funny regardless.
And Gardner-Johnson shared a photo of he and Kelce face-to-face during the game on his own Instagram stories last night, along with the caption:
“Should’ve Stayed w that thick s****.”
Damn… he’s not holding back and clearly referencing Kayla with the post.
There were several comments on the post about what the word was supposed to be that he bleeped out (allegedly sh*t), but if you’re curious, you can go read the comments on X:

Sounds like Kayla chose the right team to cheer for, too, which makes it all so much more seething and brutal… Kelce took several L’s last night. Maybe it is time to hang up the cleats for good.
