![ESPN Commentator Calls Trump Executive Order Banning Men In Women’s Sports “Disgusting” And “Evil”]()

Bad day for the folks at ESPN.
The "worldwide leader in sports" has struggled the past few years after deciding to enter into the political arena with their coverage and turning off a lot of viewers with their left-leaning commentary. But after turning off viewers and getting backlash for their political slant, ESPN has pulled back on the political opinions in recent years and tried to get back to what they're actually known for: Sports.
What a concept, right?
Well yesterday was no doubt a tough day in ESPN offices, when President Donald Trump signed an executive order on one of the most hot-button political issues in sports.
The president yesterday signed an order banning biological males from competing in women's sports, a commonsense move that was welcomed by those who believe that it's unfair to allow transgender women, who were born male and have a biological competitive advantage, to participate in women's sports and take away opportunities from young women.
Before signing the executive order, Trump pointed out just some of the insanity that's come from allowing biological males to compete against women:
"Female athletes have been forced onto the front lines, and men claiming to be girls have stolen more than 3,500 victories. That’s a lot, and invaded more than 11,000 competitions designed for women. Last year, a male cyclist posing as a woman competed in the 800 mile Arizona Trail race, a very big deal in cycling, and obliterated the women’s course record by nearly 5.5 hours. Sounds like a lot, doesn’t it, huh? 5.5 hours.
But you have to hear the weightlifting records. You think that’s bad, the weightlifting’s worse. In 2023, a man in women’s powerlifting broke two world records and outlifted his closest female opponent in one event by 440 pounds."
Of course critics bashed the executive order as "transphobic" and bigoted. And ESPN commentator Ari Chambers took to social media to blast Trump for what she called the "evil" executive order:
"The executive order banning trans girls & women from participating in sport is digusting. Doing it on national girls & women in sports day is pointed. Evil."

And she doubled down in the replies, saying that keeping biological men from competing against women is "unfair" and "inhumane."

I mean, it seems like allowing people with a clear biological advantage to compete against women is also unfair, but hey, what do I know.
ESPN received criticism yesterday for their tweet announcing the executive order, taking pains to avoid calling biological males "men" in announcing that the president planned to sign an executive order to “prevent people who were biologically assigned male at birth” from participating in women’s sports.
I feel like there's a shorter word for "people who were biologically assigned male at birth," no?

Ah, there it is.
I'm sure this is a tough time for a lot of people at ESPN, who's gone pretty far left in recent years and have to be chomping at the bit to come out against Trump and his policies.
The problem they're facing is that most of their audience actually agrees with the president that men shouldn't be allowed in women's sports. So until then, all they can do is try to spin things however they can and whine about it on social media.
