Comments not going as you expected, eh?
We see it time and time again, people post something on social media expecting to get a reaction and then it ends up totally backfiring into everybody calling them out. And one newlywed couple is finding out exactly what happens when you try to unfairly drag somebody online.
It all started when the couple, Austyn Mae and Trent, posted a video on the bride's TikTok account, @austyn.moser, bashing their wedding photographer on TikTok. The couple shared a few photos from the outdoor reception, which appeared to be "Alice in Wonderland" carnival themed and decorated with neon lights, which clearly made it hard to capture at night.
The video was captioned, "When you were so excited for your reception pictures and this is what you get back." And the bride criticized the photographer for sending an assistant to capture photos at the reception.
But the problem for the couple arose when they tagged the wedding photographer in the video, and curious viewers located the couple's wedding gallery on her website - and realized that along with the six photos they shared, there were hundreds of gorgeous photos that looked nothing like the examples that they were unhappy with.
The comments quickly began flooding in to defend the photographer, Madison Woods, who made her own video explaining her side of the story.
In the video, Woods explained that the mother of the bride had reached out and was unhappy with the photos, and despite the contract clearly stating that Woods was perfectly within her right to send an assistant to the reception, she offered them a partial refund as well as the raw, unedited images from that night:
"I took full accountability...did literally everything in my power to make that right. And this was still posted on social media."

Of course it doesn't seem like there's really anything to take accountability for: They got an entire gallery of high-quality photos, and they didn't like, what, less than a dozen of them? Can't please everybody.
But apparently that wasn't enough, and the couple decided to blast her on social media anyway - and it didn't go well for them:

And the comments weren't just dragging her for her behavior online. Comments quickly questioned her choice for a reception theme, with one person calling it "Snooki meets Alice in Wonderland" and another video even calling out the mother for taking the attention away from the bride on her wedding day:

Brutal.
The comments clearly didn't go the way the bride expected, because she initially deleted the video before finally just deleting her TikTok account altogether and going private on Instagram.
Meanwhile, the photographer has gotten a ton of support from people who loved the photos, so there's no doubt that her business is only going to take off from this unexpected attention - even though it's no doubt a headache that she probably didn't want to deal with.
