Jayden Daniels Signed Terrion Arnold’s Jersey With “Cancun On 3!” After The Commanders’ Playoff Victory Over The Lions

The Washington Commanders are winning it all. I've seen enough. As we approach the NFL's conference championship weekend, there are plenty of teams that we expected to see fighting for a spot in the Super Bowl, and there's one that no one saw coming: the Washington Commanders. They're led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has looked more than comfortable in the pros so far in his young career. Last week, the Commanders matched up against the 1-seeded Detroit Lions. I think it's fair to say that no one was giving them a chance, and that only seemed to fire up Washington that much more. They cruised to a 45 to 31 victory over a team that was considered the Super Bowl favorite. How did they pull off the massive upset? He's officially made the Commanders a contender, and he and Washington knocked out Dan Campbell's team that many were calling Lion's best chance to win a Super Bowl. I'll wait a couple of years to shout this from the mountaintops, but Daniels could have single handedly ended the Lions dynasty before it even really got going. Despite all of the stakes that were tied to the matchup, players from both sides were still civil with one another after the game was over. Jayden Daniels even took a moment to swap jerseys with Detroit Lions defensive back Terrion Arnold. Swapping jerseys has become increasingly popular in recent years, as fellow NFL players see it as a way to honor their opponents... and add memorabilia to their man cave walls. All that being said, we're now finding out what Jayden Daniels allegedly wrote on his jersey before he handed it over to the Lions defensive back. According to YouTuber Deestroying, who says he is close with Terrion Arnold, Daniels left a hilariously nasty comments for his opponent on the bottom of his jersey. As Deestroying explained on the Kickin It With Dee podcast: "I'm cool with Terrion Arnold, he's a defensive back for the Detroit Lions. He told me that he swapped jerseys with Jayden Daniels after the game and on the bottom of the jersey, Jayden Daniels wrote, 'Cancun on 3! 1, 2, 3!' and then swapped jerseys." https://twitter.com/KickinItWithDee/status/1882855673014428157 That's pretty brazen for a rookie in the NFL. If you don't understand the Cancun joke, that's okay. The origins are unclear (some think that Charles Barkley started it), but the main idea is that professional athletes that either a) don't make it to their sport's post season or b) get knocked out of the post season early take a trip to Cancun, Mexico once their season is over. Do professional athletes actually flee to Cancun after they are done playing for the year? Who is to say, really. But is it comical for someone to jab an opposing athlete with a "Cancun on 3! 1, 2, 3!" dig right after beating them? You bet your ass it is. Since my favorite team is already out of the playoffs (the Minnesota Vikings got a head start to Cancun), I guess I'll be rooting for Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders after finding this out. That kind of subtle-yet-devastating Cancun trash talk from the rookie QB hidden away in a jersey swap is next level...
