The Bills Mafia has done it again.
The fans of the Bills up in Buffalo might fit the stereotype of table breakers, volunteer snow shovelers, and ketchup/mustard shower takers (look it up), but you know how else you can describe them? Charitable. Time and time again, when the Bills fanbase can rally together to raise money for a good cause, they’ve done so. This time around, the Bills Mafia has been sending money in the direction of Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews.
Why, you might be asking? When the Buffalo Bills faced off against the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs this past weekend, it was a "put the kids to bed" type of game. And it lived up to the hype. The snow game was everything an NFL fan could ask for, and with only a minute and a half remaining, the Ravens had a chance to tie the game up and potentially send it to overtime.
If they could have converted this two point conversion, which Andrews had slip through his hands:

That'll haunt Ravens fans for years to come.
Unfortunately, Mark Andrews took a lot of the blame for the close loss to the Buffalo Bills. Just minutes before that brutal drop, the Ravens star tight end (who is the career receiving touchdowns leader for the franchise) fumbled the football on a crucial drive. Those two mistakes late in the game led fans to bash Andrews online, and Mark and his wife have even reportedly received death threats.
That's where the Bills Mafia stepped in.
After Buffalo beat the Ravens 27 to 25, and the hate started to rear its head, Bills fans tracked down Mark Andrew's charity:
Breakthrough T1D. Andrews himself is diabetic, and he started the non-profit organization in hopes of finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Breakthrough T1D also helps juveniles who are currently living with type 1 diabetes. One of the members of the Bills Mafia created a
GoFundMe (with a goal of $30,000) and started to spread it around amongst the fanbase.
As of right now, Bills fans have raised $27,577.
The Bills Mafia has a history of donating money in large amounts when the time calls for it. When Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome leg injury in 2023, Bills fans stepped up and flooded Chubb’s foundation with donations. In 2017, when Andy Dalton and the Bengals won a regular season game that ended up allowing for the Bills to squeak into the playoffs, Bills Mafia donated over $400,000 to Dalton’s foundation.
Back in 2022, when Tua suffered his second concussion of that season, the Bills fanbase stepped up and made large donations. When Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome leg injury in 2023, Bills fans flooded Chubb’s foundation with charitable giving. They might be table-breakers up there in Buffalo, but they also aren’t afraid to
break open their wallets to give to others.
And the Bills Mafia is always good about reminding all of us that the connection and community that sports can provide can truly be a beautiful thing...
