“America Is About To Get Shafted” – Winter Weather Forecast Map Goes Viral For… Obvious Reasons

Accuweather graph

Much of the Southern United States is preparing to get hit with some severe winter weather this weekend. A winter storm spanning 1,500 miles (from Kansas to Virginia) is about to leave behind a menacing trail of snow and ice that is sure to cause travel disruptions. It's set to be the first widespread winter storm of the season, and will also bring bitter temperatures to the areas that are impacted. Weather networks all across the country are reporting on the potential precipitation amounts that will severely impact the Plains and Mississippi Valley regions. Farther north in the forecast, states like Kansas and Missouri are expected to get hit with over 5 inches of snow. Farther south in the anticipated impacted areas will see a dangerous mix of rain and snow accumulate Saturday night into Monday morning. AccuWeather, a popular online weather service that boasts over 1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), put out this forecast map below to provide a visual of the ice accumulation that's expected. It obviously wasn't done intentionally, but the "pink area" shown on the radar is the very definition of phallic. Take a look: https://twitter.com/accuweather/status/1874829332633514327 Boy oh boy... someone is getting fired. Or at the very least, someone is getting a very strong talking to. You can't just post what appears to be a penis on a well-known weather service account and expect to get away scot-free. Though in the defense of AccuWeather, they have certainly gotten the attention of the masses with this ice forecast. If their goal is to reach and inform as many people as they can about winter weather - thus encouraging thousands of people to prepare for the storm - then they really met the mark with this post. It's been viewed just shy of 5 million times. Most of the views have come from individuals online who can't pass up the opportunity to make some phallic jokes. And can you really blame them? This type of mistake doesn't happen every day, and if AccuWeather is going to leave the post up for all the world to see, people are going to make memes about it. First and foremost, if you happen to be in the path of this storm, make sure you have a plan. Only when you've got supplies such as food and water stored up can you dive into the reply section of this post and enjoy the jokes that have been left in response to the phallic map:
