![Aaron Rodgers Tells Critics To “State Your Vax Status” Before Coming After Him: “Captured By The Multi-Billion Dollar Propaganda Psyop”]()
![Aaron Rodgers]()
Been a tough season for
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
While this is technically the quarterback's second season in New York, he only played four plays for the team during his first season before rupturing his Achilles and being sidelined for the rest of the year.
But ahead of the 2024 NFL season, there was plenty of excitement surrounding his return. Rodgers appeared to make a pretty miraculous recovery thanks to some...well, nontraditional medicine. And with weapons like Breece Hall in the backfield and wide receiver Garrett Wilson, Jets fans were hopeful that their future Hall of Fame QB would be able to turn things around for a team that's been struggling quite a bit in recent years.
Well, that hasn't happened.
The Jets are currently 4-10 on the season and have already been eliminated from the playoffs. The team fired coach Robert Saleh after week five, and general manager Joe Douglas was let go after week 13. Even the addition of superstar wide receiver Davante Adams, who was teammates with Rodgers during their time with the Green Bay Packers, hasn't seemed to do much for the failing New York Jets.
And naturally, Rodgers has received a lot of the criticism.
Stats wise, it hasn't been a terrible season for the QB so far. He's passed for over 3,200 yards and 23 touchdowns so far this season, which almost match his stats from his final season with the Packers (and the last full season he played). He's tied for 7th most TD passes in the NFL so far this season, and 11th in passing yards. But his completion percentage is only 62%, putting Rodgers at 28th in the league, and his average quarterback rating of 53.9 is good enough for only 21st best in the NFL.
Of course a lot of that could be attributed to the offensive line or his receiving corps, but needless to say, as the leader of the team, Rodgers is hearing it from Jets fans these days.
But during an appearance on
The Pat McAfee Show today, Rodgers had a message for his critics - and he seems to think the reason they're criticizing him might be something other than football:
"Say whatever the f*ck you want about me. I don't care. But just before you do it, whether you state your name, your accolades, pronouns, whatever it is - just state your vax status, so that anything you say afterwards gets put in the right light. Just get it out there.
Because then when you say things about me, people can at least be like, 'Oh, you are captured by the multi-billion dollar propaganda psy-op and you're still upset about it."
Rodgers has been, of course, highly critical of the COVID vaccine and Dr. Anthony Fauci, and has found himself the target of frequent criticism from proponents of the vaccine. And he seems to believe that a lot of the criticism he's receiving over his on-field play stems from people who hate him anyway because of his stance on the vaccine:
"Just so everybody knows where you're coming from. Everybody knows, ok, cool, you're twice vaxxed Moderna with three booster shoots. And then, boom boom boom, say what you want to say. Whatever. I don't care. I'm just saying a PSA. Just please, help everybody out who's wondering, 'Where is this coming from?'
Just give a little PSA. Do a little bit of digging, then you know where it's all coming from. You're captured, you're highly vaccinated, and then say whatever the hell you want to say about me, because I couldn't give two shits about it."
The comments appeared to be directed at Ryan Clark, a host of
Inside the NFL who has taken shots (no pun intended) at the 41-year old quarterback:

Say what you want about Rodgers and his anti-COVID vaccine stance, but he's not backing down from it.
