Las Vegas casino fight

Looks like steer wrestling wasn't the only cowboy combat activity taking place in Las Vegas this weekend... The 2024 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo has been going on in Sin City over the past few days and while I'm sure there's been tons of electric 8-second rides and impressive team roping operations, it was an out of arena throwdown that has people talking this morning, and for all the wrong reasons. Any time you get a bunch of people together and add an endless supply of booze you're bound too see some tempers flare. Heck, just about every week there's a fight at some sporting event (like these two bozos before the Jake Paul - Mike Tyson fight and the aggressive stadium cops at the Florida-Georgia game this year) and the type of people who enjoy watching dudes strap onto a bull that's oozing pure testosterone and wants to stomp him straight through the Earth to China are no exception to this rule. A video is coming out from a casino (maybe the Bellagio) last night where it appears two "cowboys" (notice those quotes... we're most likely looking at cowboy enthusiasts) got into a fight with two other men who looked a little more typically Vegas. It's a chaotic couple seconds and we don't have any context for how it started or wound up ending, but in the short video we can see:
  • A dude's plumber's crack
  • A guy in a cowboy hat taking a cheap shot at the guy who had his crack-showing buddy pinned to the ground
  • A completely failed drop kick attempt by (what I assume is) the crack-showing guy's wife or girlfriend
  • What appears to be a completely useless female security guard who simply started filming the fight rather than try to break it up
  • A whole lot of awful fighting technique that has those who train shaking their heads in immense disappointment
Take a look for yourself: https://twitter.com/LasVegasLocally/status/1867403030502813853 I really want to know how this started. For all I know the guys in cowboy hats were the real deal, grew up on a ranch, and spend their days moving cattle on horseback. But let's be honest and say that there's a better chance that they're like me and wear a Stetson even though I grew up in the Pennsylvania suburbs just because it's cool. If the later is true, I can see a few "all hat, no cattle" comments setting this off, or maybe some false bravado from the cowboys forced the non-cowboys hand. Also, can we talk about what that lady was trying to do? Was she really trying to pull out a WWE move and drop a boot on the back of some pour soul's head but slipped and tumbled in agonizing embarrassment? Her little pause in fetal position makes me think there's going to be a nice bruise there for a few weeks. In all fairness, it does look like the pearl-snap wearers dished out more punishment than they took, but all in all, it was a bad look for everyone involved. Safe to say, those punches don't look much like Rip Wheelers and the internet didn't hold back any jokes. https://twitter.com/rebelair/status/1867403740124533149 https://twitter.com/realgreatwang/status/1867404300391264535 https://twitter.com/MarcelAndRogie/status/1867407135468077255 https://twitter.com/MoodyBlueliner/status/1867403350830198828
