![Fanatics Surprises Dude Who Always Wears A Jersey To Class With A Year’s Worth Of Sports Jerseys]()

Sometimes the internet is simply the best.
One of the highlights of my 2024 has been sporadic updates from an X user by the name of "Big Red Dave." He's been a great follow, and his signature content has actually spawned from an apparent class mate that he has in college. He's become known as the "Jersey Guy."
Big Red Dave has made a habit out of snapping a picture of the guy in his jersey and sharing it online. Here are a couple of examples for references (sometimes he would give extra details as well):

Needless to say, that front-row-joe has an outstanding jersey collection. I would imagine when he opens up his closet, it's just nothing but jerseys. And if you do a deep dive into Big Red Dave's posts, the jersey-loving guy doesn't discriminate. He's got MLB jerseys, NFL jerseys, NBA jerseys... really anything you could think of, with many of them being obscure.
And let's just be frank here... sporting a jersey every single day is one hell of a commitment. I don't know if the guy ever found out someone was documenting his collection, but if he did, that's a lot of pressure to keep the content rolling. It also requires an extensive assortment of jerseys... and the "Jersey Guy" fortunately got a little help from Fanatics with that.
Big Red Dave updated his social media following this morning once again, and this time when the "Jersey Guy" showed up to class, there were a year's worth of jerseys waiting at his usual seat in the front row. Big Red Dave followed his usual pattern of taking a picture and posting a "You bet" message, and if you look closely, you can see that the chalk board says:
"Jersey Guy... we got you a full year of jerseys. Your fans, Fanatics."

Finally Fanatics does something right.
Big Red Dave also included some videos of "Jersey Guy" walking into the classroom to discover his new haul, while also thanking Fanatics - who he apparently collaborated with to pull this heartwarming gift off:
Fanatics gave a shout out right back to Big Red Day, giving credit to both the viral "Jersey Guy" and the kind social media user who helped the jersey-wearing student become a viral sensation:

That's what social media - and sports - are all about.
It's always great to see moments like this, and they act as a much-needed reminder that good can come from social media - and complete strangers. The classy move from Fanatics to give the guy a year's worth of jerseys made for a win-win scenario. They get free publicity, and the "Jersey Guy" gets to add to his expansive collection.
That brought a lot of joy to the internet:
