Little Girl Who Went Viral For Awful Pacers Game National Anthem Is BACK Performing At The National Finals Rodeo

National Anthem NFR

She's BACK. The National Finals Rodeo is underway in Las Vegas, and some of the biggest rodeo competitors are hoping to take home some cash leaving the Thomas and Mack Arena. While some folks attend the Super Bowl of rodeo sports for the actual rodeo performances each night, the NFR is also filled with stellar country music acts, top-notch shopping, and western wear brands putting on events. The NFR has something for everyone. This year, the organizers of the NFR are also making sure they appeal to those who are chronically online, highlighting a viral star from 2024. Earlier this year, an 8-year-old girl, Kinsley Murray, went viral for her Fergie-esque national anthem Performance. The horrid performance was met with harsh criticism from social media, questioning who let her step foot on the court and flaming her parents for allowing her step out to perform, knowing it would be a "flavorful" rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner." After watching the performance, I was quick to try not to cast judgment on the girl as she's only 8 years old (now 9)... let's cut her some slack. Her voice was not horrible, she's just gotta work on some control and maybe rethink where we take some creative liberties

Kicking off round two in the Thomas and Mack Arena, the viral little girl returned to the big stage to perform the "Star Spangled Banner" before kicking off the rodeo events for the evening. Once again, she is decked from head to toe in red, white, and blue, with stars and stripes. Of course, since this was a Western event, she had to tip her hat to the cowboys in the room, sporting a sparkly cowboy hat. While her outfit might have screamed patriotism, her performance was again TOUGH to sit through. Clearly, none of the feedback her parents saw on social media was relayed to her. Was the performance once again compared to Fergie’s legendary rendition? Yes. Is that a good thing? No. As they panned the camera through the audience, you could see folks cringing during her "Star Spangled Banner" rendition. But while we can sit here and say how awful the performance was all day, she's doing something right because before she began to sing, the announcer told the arena that fans selected her through a national search to perform. Whoever voted for Kinsley to return to the stage, are you trying to ruin her life? Are you hoping that she will be a viral meme forever? Honestly, just glad her parents aren't continuously exploiting her for the sake of some negative viral attention. Then again, maybe they still are.  You have to give Kinsley a round of applause for having the balls to get up on a massive stage twice and perform the "Star Spangled Banner," but maybe her parents should let her rest and work on getting down a solid performance before letting her do this again. Check it out.
@cowboychannel Kicking off Round 2 of the 2024 Wrangler NFR, we had a special rendition of the National Anthem. After a national search, rodeo fan’s selected Washington’s own Kinsley Murray to help get night two started! #nfr #nfr24 #round2 ♬ original sound - The Cowboy Channel
While you're here, read some of the comments too. "All of a sudden, I think I could sing the national anthem for events." "Was Cody Johnson not available?" "Selected by fans?!" "Even the horse looked concerned." "HAVE WE LEARNED NOTHING?" "I thought ppl were just being dramatic and mean, but oh my-." "We listen and we don't judge." "Let's start playing a pre-recording." "Did we not learn for last time she performed." "Maybe missin' the NFR this year was the move." "Why not like Carrie Underwood or Zach Top?" Yikes...
