Bill Belichick headed back to college?
The legendary coach has been out of the game for a year now since being let go by the New England Patriots at the end of the 2023 season. But Belichick is apparently doing just fine for himself, after it was reported earlier this year that the 72-year old former coach was in a relationship with a new woman after his split from his longtime partner Linda Holliday.
The coach’s new girlfriend is 24-year old Jordon Hudson, a former cheerleader…and if you’re bad at math, that means Belichick is 48 years older than his new romantic partner. (Just for context, Belichick became head coach of the Patriots in 2000 – the year Hudson was born).
The couple reportedly met on a flight in 2021 where they exchanged information and kept in contact by discussing things like her school work and cheerleading routines. (Wouldn't you love to hear Bill Belichick talking to a 20-something year old about cheerleading? That had to have been an incredible conversation).
It’s even been reported that the couple are headed towards marriage, surely because they're in love and not because he has a massive bank account.
With Belichick and Hudson seemingly living their best life together, taking Halloween pictures on the beach and doing whatever else a grandpa does with his 24-year old granddaughter, a lot of people have rightfully questioned whether he would even want to get back into coaching again.
His name has naturally been thrown around quite a bit as vacancies open up in the NFL, and he even interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons for their head coaching job at the end of last season. And apparently the coach still has the itch to be on the sidelines - but maybe not in the NFL.
According to a surprising new report from Inside Carolina, Belichick interviewed for the head coaching job at the University of North Carolina this week.
The job is one of four P4 college football jobs that are currently open, with UNC parting ways with Coach Mack Brown last week. But Belichick has never coached at the college level, getting his start in the NFL as an assistant for the then-Baltimore Colts way back in 1975, so the UNC gig would be the coach's first time working at the college level.

I've gotta say, I didn't see Belichick to the college ranks coming. But then again, maybe his girlfriend has him convinced that he can deal with young people now.
But still, if they hire Belichick, they better keep the cheerleaders away from him just in case.
Wouldn't want his girlfriend to get jealous or anything.
