Charles Barkley Thinks He & Mark Cuban (LOL) Together Would Run Away With Presidential Election: “We’d Definitely Win”

Mark Cuban Charles Barkley

Chuckster-Cuban 2028? We've entered into an age where you don't have to be a politician to run for president. Donald Trump ushered us into that era in 2016, and all signs are pointing towards that trend becoming commonplace. And it's not necessarily a bad thing, though it does create all kinds of conversations around celebrities and high-profile figures that "might consider running." Mark Cuban - who was recently featured on an episode of the Talk Tuah Podcast - also stopped in with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson for an interview on their show, The Steam Room. While the billionaire, who supported Kamala Harris during the most recent presidential election, was on, Barkley asked him what his initial reaction was to Donald Trump winning back the White House over Harris. Cuban described the feeling by relating it to sports: "It's like losing the last game of the season. You know? It's a horrible feeling walking off the court. But you've got to look forward to next season... you can't dwell on it. You've got to think of what you can do going forward. I care about this country, I live this country and that's important to me. It's not about, 'I hate this person or that person.' No. It is what it is. I can't change it. There's no reason to get upset about the things you can't change." The former owner of the Dallas Mavericks went on to explain that he briefly considered running for president in 2020, but a vote amongst his family ultimately changed his decision. So though Cuban might not ever run himself, he mentioned that the country needs a leader that would want to foster togetherness over division. He said that someone who "could talk to anybody" would be the perfect candidate, and then pointed out that Charles Barkley is one of those people. That prompted Ernie to ask if Mark would change his mind if the presidential ticket included both he and the Chuckster. And Cuban seemed to be on board with that idea: "We'd win, we'd definitely win." Charles felt good about their chances as well: "Yes, absolutely, we would win running away. No question about it." Now before anyone that's reading this starts rolling their eyes, I'll point you towards some things that Charles Barkley said after the election was decided. The former NBA star admitted that he had voted for Harris, but still took time to congratulate Donald Trump and wish him the best of luck. Then he eviscerated the Democratic party: “I want to congratulate President elect Trump. Y’all won fair and square. I want to congratulate you and I want you to do the best for the American people. Because I’ve got some numbers here. 75 million people voted for President elect Trump. 71 million people voted for Kamala Harris… I wish him nothing but the best, but we lost. And I just want to say this to the Democrats, I’m an Independent who voted Democratic. Do me this favor, shut the f**k up! When you win you get to say what you want to, when you lose you need to shut the hell up.” Charles Barkley likes to tell it how it is, doesn't he? The "Round Mound of Rebound" went on to describe why he thought the election swung in favor of the Republican party, and specified some things that he himself would like to see changed: "People want solutions, they want money in their pocket, they want the border secure. You know what I really want to do? I want to walk into a pharmacy and grab some toothpaste, grab some deodorant, and be out in five to seven minutes. I don’t want all the sh*t locked up. I don’t want to have to push a button and wait 15 minutes for somebody to come. I want people to stop running in stores and stop robbing people. If you’re out here robbing stores, we need to put an end to that sh*t.” I see no lies...so Charles Barkley 2028 or what? I mean, any connection to Cuban would absolutely TANK his chances of winning, but Chuck on his own could at least be entertaining, right?
