To be fair, they should have expected this.
In case you've somehow missed it, a well-intentioned art installation recently opened up in New York City and Dublin, Ireland featuring a live video link between the two cities.
The portal, located in the Flatiron District of NYC, was set up to be a "bridge to a united planet," a way to connect with those around the world and bring everybody closer together.

Sounds great, right? Well I'm sure you can guess what happened after it opened last week.
Video has already been circulating of our counterparts over in Dublin showing pictures of the Twin Towers up in flames on 9/11, people making obscene gestures at each other, and others being arrested for quite literally the other side of the world to see.

But apparently the final straw came when an OnlyFans model in New York decided to show the Irish her potatoes.
According to a video posted by the model, Ava Louise, takes credit for getting the portal shut down after flashing her breasts:
"I thought the people of Dublin deserved to see my two New York, homegrown potatoes."
Security then confirmed on the video that the portal would be down for "quite some time" because people were acting "not in the best way."
Of course it's no surprise that it was shut down. There are children watching from the other side, so it's incredibly inappropriate.
But it's also not at all unexpected that people wouldn't be able to behave themselves. Even Elon Musk saw this one coming...
