ESPN Insider Adam Schefter Reveals That He Once Scooped NFL News Seconds After… Doing The Nasty

Adam Schefter

When it comes to scooping sports stories, good luck finding someone better than ESPN's Adam Schefter. There's a whole industry built around getting inside information first. Outlets all have their go-to guy (or gal) that does their best to "scoop" stories before they are well known, using connections to find things out before anyone else does. And with the NFL on ESPN, their ace is Adam Schefter. Occasionally, Schefter goes on shows or podcasts to talk about the latest in the sports world. If you ever watch any of his appearances, you'll likely notice that he's always got his phone out, constantly wheeling and dealing info that could or could not be valuable to ESPN. Considering the intense, fast-paced, never-ending nature of his job, I don't ever understand how he's able to commit both to a show and his scooping responsibilities. But somehow, Adam Schefter gets it done - no matter what circumstance he finds himself in. And on a recent episode of Kevin Clark's This Is Football podcast, Clark must have been thinking in the same way that I am, because he asked Schefter a wonderful question about the "weirdest place" that the ESPN insider has broken a story from. Adam Schefter took more than a few seconds to think of his answer, and after a long pause and a couple of chuckles, he finally got into answering the question: "I can remember being in Denver one time, and uh... I was... how do I say this? I had just spent time with this woman for the first time and I got a text that (former Broncos cornerback) Dale Carter was being suspended for eight games for substance abuse." Just so I can confirm that you are following what Schefter said there, the ESPN insider revealed that he had "scooped" the news just after engaging in sexual relations. Like I've tried to make clear throughout this story, this man is never off the clock - not even in the most intimate of moments. Schefter chuckled once more, and then explained that he was successful in every aspect: "So as I continued to lay there, I confirm it, and got the job done Kevin - in every which way." https://twitter.com/bykevinclark/status/1859237927475085425 Just some legendary stuff from Adam Schefter right there. Personally, I can't imagine having to be that plugged in to the sports world. And yes, I realize that I'm leaving a ton of puns "out on the field" with this story, but I'm just trying to stay as journalistic as possible. Instead of saying anything that could get myself in trouble, I'll direct your attention to some of the commentary that social media users have provided below the video:
